Large language models like GPT-4 have demonstrated potential for diagnosis in radiology. Previous studies investigating this primarily utilized quizzes from academic journals. This study aimed to assess the diagnostic capabilities of GPT-4-based Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) using actual clinical radiology reports brain tumors and compare its performance with that neuroradiologists general radiologists.
Background/Objectives: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is subclassified into small and large duct types. Although these subclassifications may help determine the appropriate treatment strategy, subclassification diagnosis currently depends on postoperative pathological examinations. This study aimed to establish a nomogram predict ICC subclassifications. Methods: included 126 patients with who underwent liver resection. The participants were divided duct-type groups. A was developed...
The use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has revolutionized the treatment advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, clinical trials often exclude those with a history autoimmune diseases (ADs) because concerns regarding immune-related adverse events. Therefore, efficacy ICIs in NSCLC patients ADs should be evaluated. This study used administrative claims data from centers Japan and identified who began chemotherapy between December 2016 January 2023. were divided into four...
This prospective observational single-center cohort study aimed to determine an association between cerebrovascular autoregulation (CVAR) and outcomes in hypoxic-ischemic brain injury post-cardiac arrest (CA), assessed 100 consecutive post-CA patients Japan June 2017 May 2020 who experienced a return of spontaneous circulation. Continuous monitoring was performed for 96 h CVAR presence. A moving Pearson correlation coefficient calculated from the mean arterial pressure cerebral regional...
Background Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) were excluded in most trials that investigated the effects of urate-lowering agents, such as febuxostat and allopurinol, hyperuricemic patients. This exclusion leads to uncertainty regarding efficacy patients CKD. Due high prevalence hyperuricemia CKD, we aimed assess effect on improving patient outcomes concerning cardiovascular events survival compared those treated allopurinol among Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort study...
Abstract Background Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) reactivation occurs in immunosuppressed individuals and is known to increase mortality. Although patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are often associated steroid use intensive care unit (ICU) treatment may be at risk for comorbid HCMV reactivation, there still insufficient studies. This study aimed examine the incidence potential factors of infection severe COVID-19 evaluate relationship between Methods We used administrative...
