Six compounds namely, tanshinone IIA (1), carnosic acid (2), rosmarinic (3), salvianolic B (4), baicalein (5), and glycyrrhetinic (6) were screened for their anti-SARS-CoV-2 activities against both the spike (S) main protease (Mpro) receptors using molecular docking studies. Molecular recommended superior affinities of (4) as common results from previously published computational articles. On other hand, actual tested in vitro plaque reduction assay to calculate IC50 values after measuring...
Abstract Targeting the epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFRs) with small inhibitor molecules has been validated as a potential therapeutic strategy in cancer therapy. Pyrazolo[3,4‐ d ]pyrimidine is versatile scaffold that exploited for developing anticancer agents. On basis of fragment‐based drug discovery, considering essential pharmacophoric features potent EGFR tyrosine kinase (TK) inhibitors, herein, we report design and synthesis new hybrid pyrazolo[3,4‐ linked diverse fragments...
Herein, a series of N'-benzylidene-3,4-dimethoxybenzohydrazide derivatives were designed and synthesised to target the multidrug efflux pump (MATE). The antibacterial activities screened against S. aureus, Acinetobacter, typhi, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, whereas their antifungal C. albicans. Compounds 4a, 4h, 4i showed most promising activities. Moreover, compounds 4h being broader superior members regarding antimicrobial effects selected be further evaluated via in vivo testing using...
In the current work, some 1,3,4-oxadiazole-naphthalene hybrids were designed and synthesised as VEGFR-2 inhibitors. The compounds evaluated in vitro for their antiproliferative activity against two human cancer cell lines namely, HepG-2 MCF-7. Compounds that exhibited promising cytotoxicity (5, 8, 15, 16, 17, 18) further inhibitory activities. Compound 5 showed good both effect on VEGFR-2. Besides, it induced apoptosis by 22.86% compared to 0.51% control (HepG2) cells. This apoptotic was...
Different mechanisms of action for the quinoxaline moiety to fight breast cancer.
The Pharmaceuticals Editorial Office retracts the article "Design and Synthesis of Novel 5-((3-(Trifluoromethyl)piperidin-1-yl)sulfonyl)indoline-2,3-dione Derivatives as Promising Antiviral Agents: In Vitro, Silico, Structure-Activity Relationship Studies" [...].
Herein, a series of new isatin derivatives was designed and synthesized (1-9) as broad-spectrum antiviral agents. Consequently, the activities compounds were pursued against three viruses, namely influenza virus (H1N1), herpes simplex 1 (HSV-1), coxsackievirus B3 (COX-B3). In particular, 9, 5, 4 displayed highest activity H1N1, HSV-1, COX-B3 with IC50 values 0.0027, 0.0022, 0.0092 µM, respectively. Compound 7 safest, CC50 value 315,578.68 µM. Moreover, quantitative PCR (real-time PCR) assay...
Infectious diseases of bacteria and fungi have become a major risk to public health because antibiotic antifungal resistance. However, the availability effective antibacterial agents is becoming increasingly limited with growing resistance existing drugs. In response that, novel are critically needed overcome such A new series 6-hydroxyquinolinone 3, 4, 5a, 5b, 6a 6b bearing different side chains were synthesized evaluated as antimicrobials against numbers fungi, using inhibition zone...
A system was studied that consists of a controller, namely, the hypothalamic thermoregulatory center brain, and controlled system, vasomotor in ear rabbit, which is under direct control hypothalamus. Biological data were collected on different characteristics this system. The then treated mathematically, resulting mathematical description accurately quantitatively describes its behaviour. relationship between POAH (preoptic anterior hypothalamus) pinnae temperature, found to have...
