Extracorporeal circulation often causes mechanical damage to erythrocytes, which release hemoglobin into the plasma, resulting in postsurgical hazard, so lowering free (f-Hb) level blood is important. In this study, based on good biocompatibility of chitosan/κ-carrageenan and adsorption effect carbon nitride, a chitosan/κ-carrageenan/carbon nitride (CS/κ-Car/C3N4) hydrogel was prepared through charge electrostatic interaction between polysaccharides. The incorporation C3N4 enhanced both...

Laser wakefield acceleration of electrons well beyond 1 GeV and optical guiding ultraintense laser pulses peak powers up to 160 TW over a 4-cm long ablative capillary discharge plasma channel were experimentally demonstrated. Electron beams, with energies 1.8 GeV, generated by using the 130 TW, 55 fs driving pulses. A comparison oxygen-containing acrylic resin (C:O:H = 4:2:7) no polyethylene 1:0:2) measurements suggests that injection electron into is assisted ionization oxygen K-shell electrons.

We demonstrated experimentally the seeding-phase control for a two-stage laser wakefield accelerator with gradient injection. By optimizing seeding phase of electrons into second stage, electron beams beyond 0.5 GeV 3% rms energy spread were produced over short acceleration distance ∼2 mm. Peak beam was further extended 1 by lengthening stage to 5 Time-resolved magnetic field measurements via magneto-optical Faraday polarimetry allowed us monitor processes and in stage.

An electron beam with the maximum energy extending up to 1.8 GeV, much higher than dephasing limit, is experimentally obtained in laser wakefield acceleration plasma density of 3.5 × 1018 cm−3. With particle cell simulations and theoretical analysis, we find that intensity evolution plays a major role enhancement gain. While bubble length decreases due intensity-decay pulse, phase can be locked, which contributes overcoming dephasing. Moreover, described for phase-lock electrons uniform...
