We examined the relationship between hippocampal subfield volumes and cognitive decline over a 4-year period in healthy older adult population with goal of identifying subjects at risk progressive impairment which could potentially guide therapeutic interventions monitoring. 482 (68.1 years +/− 7.4; 52.9% female) from Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing underwent magnetic resonance brain imaging series tests. Using K -means longitudinal clustering, were first grouped into three separate...

BACKGROUND Acanthamoeba are free-living amoebae with potential to infect immunocompromised hosts. The mortality rate of granulomatous amebic encephalitis (GAE) due exceeds 90% and there currently no reports survival this infection in recipients hematopoietic stem cell transplant. CASE REPORT We report herein the case a 32-year-old man presenting our service abrupt neurological deterioration seizures 5 months after allogeneic transplantation for Hodgkin lymphoma. Clinical imaging findings...

Pulmonary arteries may rarely be involved by primary and secondary tumors. Clinical imaging features mimic those of PE making it challenging to diagnose. Choriocarcinoma is a malignant germ cell tumor, typically in the female genital tract. Rarely, they can present as PA thrombus. Female patients with history molar pregnancy, ectopic abortion or this case miscarriage, are at higher risk gestational trophoblastic disease which manifest way, albeit rare. In report we describe 52-year-old who...

Abstract Background Demand for inpatient MRI outstrips capacity which results in long waiting lists. The hospital commenced a routine weekend service January 2023. Aim aim of this study was to investigate the effect limited on turnaround times. Methods Waiting times scans performed before and after introduction from 1 August 31, 2022, 2023, were obtained. time (TAT) request category each calculated. Category requests required immediately, 2 urgent 3 routine. Results There 6% ( n = 128)...

Neurolymphomatosis is a rare neurological manifestation associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Here we present case of brachial plexus neurolymphomatosis in patient relapsed lymphoma exquisitely demonstrated on 18F-FDG PET/CT. It highlights the characteristic imaging features and importance multimodality diagnosing neurolymphomatosis.

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on health care systems across the globe in short period of time. There is growing body evidence surrounding findings hybrid imaging with FDG-PET/CT, and this case highlights importance molecular better understanding biomarkers disease which ultimately determine success building model to predict severity monitoring response treatment.

Acute abdominal pain accounts for 5% of all presentations to the emergency department (Stoker et al., 2009). Two most common causes are acute appendicitis and cholecystitis (Ferris 2017). A 70-year-old man presented with calculous cholecystitis. He subsequently deteriorated clinically re-imaging revealed interval migration stones from biliary system appendix resultant appendicitis. Although both common, dual pathology is rare. There a small number case reports gallstones causing (Vicari,...

This is a case of high-risk, aggressive, high-grade medullary B-cell lymphoma presenting with new onset neurological dysfunction following initial complete response to the standard chemoimmunotherapy. A whole-body re-staging PET using fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) integrated computed tomography (18FDG-PET/CT) performed clinical suspicion arachnoiditis, eloquently demonstrated unequivocal multifocal FDG uptake by spinal cord without evidence systemic recurrence, leading diagnosis secondary CNS...
