ABSTRACT Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) CRF08_BC and CRF07_BC are two major recombinants descended from subtypes B′ C. Despite their massive epidemic impact in China, migration patterns divergence times remain unknown. Phylogenetic population genetic analyses were performed on 228 HIV-1 sequences representing CRF08_BC, CRF07_BC, subtype C strains different locations across India, Myanmar. Genome-specific rates of evolution estimated using a Bayesian Markov chain Monte Carlo...

We report here a novel HIV-1 circulating recombinant form (CRF55_01B) composed of CRF01_AE and subtype B, with four recombination breakpoints in the pol gene. CRF55_01B was identified from three epidemiologically unlinked men having sex (MSM) China, suggesting ongoing generation recombinants involving B lineages among MSM China.

Abstract Background Natural killer (NK) cells have emerged as pivotal players in innate immunity, especially the defense against viral infections and tumors. Killer immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIRs) – an important recognition receptor expressed on surface of NK regulate inhibition and/or activation after interacting with human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I ligands. Various KIR genes might impact prognosis many different diseases. The implications KIR-HLA interaction HIV disease...

Natural killer (NK) cells are important for maintenance of innate immune system stability and serve as a first line defense against tumors virus infections; they can act either directly or indirectly regulated via co-operation between inhibitory stimulatory surface receptors. The recently reported receptor, TIGIT, be expressed on the NK cell surface; however, expression level function TIGIT during HIV infection is unknown.
