Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) have attracted great interest in the fields of tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and organogenesis for their pluripotency ability to self-renew. ESC aggregation, which produces an embryoid body (EB), has been widely utilized as a trigger vitro directed differentiation. In this paper, we propose novel method constructing large numbers deep concave wells PDMS microfluidic chips using meniscus induced by surface tension liquid prepolymer, applied chip mass...
Perfluorocarbon nanoemulsions (PFCNEs) have recently been undergoing rigorous study to investigate their ability improve the therapeutic efficacy of tumor ablation by high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).For precise control PFCNE delivery and thermal ablation, accumulation distribution in a should be quantitatively analyzed. Here, we used fluorine-19 ( 19 F) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) track tumor, analyzed how intra-tumoral quantities affect HIFU treatment.Ablation outcomes were...
Purpose To investigate whether the magnitude of in vivo fluorine 19 (19F) magnetic resonance (MR) imaging signal is associated with subsequent development colitis-associated dysplasia after situ fluorination inflammatory macrophages a mouse model bowel disease (IBD). Materials and Methods Experiments were approved by institutional animal care use committee. Mice experimental group (n = 10) administered azoxymethane dextran sulfate sodium to induce dysplasia. Five mice noninduced control...
: The objective of this study was to assess the bi-exponential relaxation times and fractions short long components human patellar tendon ex vivo using three-dimensional ultrashort echo time T1ρ (3D UTE-T1ρ) imaging.
Myelin proton density fraction (MPDF) and myelin water (MWF) measured with short-TR adiabatic inversion-recovery (STAIR) sequences are potential biomarkers of aging neurodegeneration, but the effects on MPDF/MWF remain unknown. This study aims to assess relationships between age using 3D STAIR ultrashort echo time (STAIR-UTE) short (STAIR-STE) sequences, respectively. 42 volunteers (29 young (<55y), 13 old (>55y)), were recruited for MPDF MWF mapping white matter (WM) gray (GM) a 3 T...
The increasing need for scalable and efficient crop monitoring systems in industrial plant factories calls image-based deep learning models that are both accurate robust to domain variability. This study investigates the feasibility of CNN-based growth stage classification butterhead lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) using two data types: raw images processed through GrabCut–Watershed segmentation. A ResNet50-based transfer model was trained evaluated on each dataset, cross-domain performance...
Purpose To investigate whether high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)-induced macrophage infiltration could be longitudinally monitored with fluorine 19 (19F) magnetic resonance (MR) imaging in a quantitative manner. Materials and Methods BALB/c mice were subcutaneously inoculated 4T1 cells separated into three groups: untreated (control, n = 9), HIFU-treated (HIFU, HIFU- clodronate-treated (HIFU+Clod, 9). Immediately after HIFU treatment, all intravenously given perfluorocarbon (PFC)...
Purpose Renal function is characterized by concentration of urea for removal in urine. We tested as a CEST‐MRI contrast agent measurement the concentrating capacity distinct renal anatomical regions. Methods The CEST was examined using phantoms with different concentrations and pH levels. Ten C57BL/6J mice were scanned twice at 7 T, once following intraperitoneal injection 2M 150 µL separately an identical volume saline. Kidneys segmented into regions encompassing cortex, outer medulla,...
The presence of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) is significantly associated with poor prognosis tumors. Currently, magnetic resonance imaging- (MRI-) based TAM imaging methods that use nanoparticles such as superparamagnetic iron oxide and perfluorocarbon nanoemulsions are available for quantitative monitoring burden in However, whether MRI-based measurements TAMs can be used prognostic markers has not been evaluated yet. In this study, we positron emission tomography (PET) 18...
Abstract Purpose To investigate the feasibility and application of a novel imaging technique, three-dimensional dual adiabatic inversion recovery prepared ultrashort echo time (3D DIR-UTE) sequence, for high contrast assessment cartilaginous endplate (CEP) with head-to-head comparisons between other UTE techniques. Method The DIR-UTE sequence employs two narrow-band full passage (AFP) pulses to suppress signals from long T 2 water (e.g., nucleus pulposus (NP)) bone marrow fat (BMF)...
Introduction: Many spine disorders are caused by disc degeneration or endplate defects. Because nutrients entering the avascular channeled through cartilaginous (CEP), structural and compositional changes in CEP may block this solute channel, thereby hindering cell function. Therefore, imaging region is important to improve diagnostic accuracy of disorders. Methods: A clinically available T1-weighted fat-suppressed spoiled gradient recalled-echo (FS-SPGR) sequence was optimized for...

Purpose Standardized blood tests often lack adequate sensitivity and specificity to capture the gradual progression of renal injuries. We suggest a multiparametric molecular MRI approach as noninvasive tool for monitoring function loss distinguishing different types Methods CEST quantitative magnetization transfer (qMT) imaging were performed on cisplatin ( n = 16) aristolochic acid (AA)‐induced nephropathy 22) mouse models at 7T with an infusion either saline or urea.
