Textbook-like device characteristics are demonstrated in vertical GaN p-n diodes grown on bulk substrates. These devices show simultaneously an avalanche breakdown voltage (BV) of >1.4 kV under reverse bias, ideality factor plateau ∼2.0 a forward bias window followed by near unity 1.1, which consistently achieved over temperature range 300–400 K. At room (RT), the diode with mesa diameter 107 μm showed differential on-resistance Ron 0.12 mΩcm2, thus resulting record figure-of-merit...

We present the design principle and experimental demonstrations of GaN trench junction-barrier-Schottky-diodes(trench JBSDs), where Schottky contact within patterned trenches is at same plane as adjacent p-n junctions. Assisted by TCAD simulations, leakage current reduction mechanism identified reduced surface field (RESURF) effect due to barrier-height difference between junction junction. Cell-free DNA (cfDNA), a burgeoning class of molecular biomarkers, has been extensively studied across variety biomedical fields. As key component liquid biopsy, cfDNA testing is gaining prominence in disease detection and management due to the convenience sample collection abundant wealth genetic information it provides. However, broader clinical application currently impeded by lack standardization preanalytical procedures for analysis. A number fundamental challenges, including selection...

Chemotherapy was the mainstream treatment limited benefit. Apatinib, inhibitor targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), has been approved for third-line cancer. However, data apatinib real-world setting are limited. this study, we aimed to understand current pattern apatinib, investigate...

Each year more than 3000 Canadians are diagnosed with brain cancers like glioblastoma multiforme or recurrent head and neck cancers, which difficult to treat conventional radiotherapy techniques. One of the most clinically promising treatments for these is boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). This procedure involves selectively introducing a delivery agent into tumor cells irradiating them beam, kills cancer due high-linear energy transfer radiation produced by 10 B(n,α) 7 Li reaction. Abstract Toxoplasma gondii ( T. ) is an obligate intracellular parasite with a wide range of hosts, including humans and many warm-blooded animals. The exists in two interconvertible forms, namely tachyzoites bradyzoites intermediate hosts that are responsible for acute chronic infections respectively. Toxoplasma gondii is an opportunistic pathogen infecting humans and a variety of vertebrate animals. Secretory dense-granule proteins (GRAs) play diverse roles in the mediation host-parasite interactions facilitate parasitism, but many them still remain to be identified. Here, we used two proximity-based protein labeling techniques identify novel GRA proteins. Taking GRA1 as bait, transgenic strains expressing GRA1-BirA* or GRA1-APEX were constructed biotinylate GRAs. Using these methods,...

Lateral GaN transistors on Si substrates operating at voltage below 650 V are commercially available today. The main drawback of this lateral geometry is that the transistor area (and, therefore, its cost) proportional to breakdown voltage. In addition, numerous material interfaces exposed high electric fields, which reduces reliability and prevents avalanche breakdown. For higher-voltage high-current applications, lateral-device size increases dramatically, very current levels difficult...
