IntroductionERBB2 amplification in lung cancer remains poorly characterized. HER2 (encoded by ERBB2) is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase capable of ligand-independent dimerization and signaling when overexpressed, common cause overexpression ERBB2 amplification. Here, we evaluated the clinicopathologic genomic characteristics ERBB2-amplified NSCLC explored antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) therapeutic strategy.MethodsOur institutional next-generation DNA sequencing data (OncoPanel) from 5769...
Background EWSR1::PATZ1 fusion tumors are exceedingly rare in the central nervous system with only 14 prior cases documented. PATZ1 neuroepithelial beginning to be recognized as a distinct molecular class of neoplasms that most often occur children and young adults. These polyphenotypic, show diverse morphologic features, may low- or high-grade, tend have an intermediate prognosis. Case presentation Herein, we present unusual case high-grade tumor man fusion. This is unique because appears...
CD47 is an antiphagocytic molecule that plays a critical role in immune surveillance. A variety of malignancies have been shown to evade the system by increasing expression on cell surface. As result, anti-CD47 therapy under clinical investigation for subset these tumors. Interestingly, overexpression associated with negative outcomes lung and gastric cancers; however, functional significance bladder cancer not fully understood. We retrospectively studied patients muscle invasion (MIBC) who...
Abemaciclib was originally FDA approved for patients with ER-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer Ki-67 expression ≥20%. However, there were no guidelines provided on which specimen to test or scoring method use. We performed a comprehensive study evaluating the variation in specimens from 50 consecutive who could have been eligible abemaciclib therapy. Three pathologists expertise each blinded review 3 different manual methods [estimated (EST), unweighted (UNW), and weighted (WT) (WT...
Abstract Background: Most lung adenocarcinomas (LUAD) are driven by activation of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK). HER2 (encoded ERBB2) is an RTK capable ligand-independent dimerization and signaling when overexpressed. ERBB2 amplification (ERBB2amp) a common cause overexpression. While activating mutations (e.g., exon 20 YVMA insertions) targetable drivers LUAD, the role ERBB2amp in cancer (LC) unclear there no FDA-approved therapy for this indication LC. Here, we report clinicopathological...

Abstract One of the important features triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is enrichment stem-like cells that contribute substantially to malignant phenotype. Nucleus accumbens associated protein 1 (NAC1), a unique member BTB-POZ family, implicated in tumor development and progression various types cancer. The objective this study was test hypothesis NAC1 plays critical role maintaining stemness TNBC. We found TNBC cell lines, MDA-MB-231 HCC-1806, had high expressions compared normal....
Aims: Trichorhinophalangeal syndrome type 1 (TRPS1) has been reported to be a sensitive and specific immunohistochemical (IHC) marker for breast carcinomas, especially when determining primary site of origin. However, there is limited data on TRPS1 expression in prostate bladder cancers.Methods/Results: A two-phase study was performed with 1) an exploratory cohort analyzing gene alterations prostate, bladder, carcinoma TPRS1 mRNA carcinoma; 2) GATA3 IHC confirmatory samples.Gene were...

Primitive neuroectodermal tumors (PNETs) of the ovary are rare, highly aggressive neoplasms with fewer than 100 cases described. PNETs can be classified as either peripheral or central types. The have small round cells without rosette formation, and further delineated based on CNS tumor they morphologically resemble. We present a case type ovarian PNET in young female presenting pelvic mass elevated serum markers.
