In this paper we present the Low Frequency Instrument (LFI), designed and developed as part of Planck space mission, ESA program dedicated to precision imaging cosmic microwave background (CMB). Planck-LFI will observe full sky in intensity polarisation three frequency bands centred at 30, 44 70 GHz, while higher frequencies (100-850 GHz) be covered by HFI instrument. The LFI is an array radiometers based on state-of-the-art Indium Phosphide cryogenic HEMT amplifiers implemented a...

In patients with COPD non-naïve to rehabilitation we tested the feasibility, adherence and satisfaction of a home-based reinforcement telerehabilitation program (TRP). Outcomes were compared standard outpatient (ORP). Then 18 TRP underwent 28 sessions strength exercises (60 min) cycle training (40 using satellite platform provided telemonitoring, tele-prescription, video-assistance phone-calls, equipped an oximeter, steps-counter, bicycle, remote control interactive TV software. matched ORP,...

When compared to more digitized western countries, Italy seems have suffered a delay of ten years, in both the use ICTs by elderly and study relation between people, ageing. Considering this time lapse, it is now urgent that we question factors influence adoption whether can provide cultural relational resources could improve quality life terms health social life. This article describes main findings survey carried out as part larger national research project focused on active ageing, which...

We give the calibration and scientific performance parameters of Planck Low Frequency Instrument (LFI) measured during ground cryogenic test campaign. These characterise instrument response constitute our best pre-launch knowledge LFI performance. The shows excellent $1/f$ stability rejection instrumental systematic effects; noise that is most sensitive its kind. set will be updated flight operations through end mission.

In the recent sociological debate, concept of generation has been used increasingly frequently as a tool for interpreting current social change and role played by young in this process. This wave, which also involves media discourses, created sort narrative, whose main feature is existence ‘digital global generation’ characterized use Internet mobile devices. new described being very similar to that protagonists movements 1960s. article discusses criticizes ‘generational storytelling’ from...

Sublingual immunotherapy is widely recognized as a viable treatment for allergic rhinitis and asthma, but the optimal dosage still under debate, expecially with modified allergens. We assessed clinical effects of monomeric allergoid across 3 different maintenance doses in mite-monosensitized patients intermittent asthma. Eighty-nine to HDM were randomized (Lais®, Lofarma) or medications only. All recorded their symptoms rescue drug consumption diary card from November February. Additionally,...

The Low Frequency Instrument (LFI) on-board the ESA Planck satellite carries eleven radiometer subsystems, called Radiometer Chain Assemblies (RCAs), each composed of a pair pseudo-correlation receivers. We describe on-ground calibration campaign performed to qualify flight model RCAs and measure their pre-launch performances. Each RCA was calibrated in dedicated flight-like cryogenic environment with front-end cooled 20K back-end at 300K, an external input load 4K. A matched simulating...

Current evidence indicates that the benefits of tele-health may not be uniform across all patients. Therefore, to understand what specific variables influence use home-based telemanagement in COPD, we conducted this retrospective study. A 6-month program (HTP) was offered 1,074 COPD patients over a 4-year period. Multivarible linear regression analysis used identify predictors HTP use/week (phone calls and specialist consultations) among variables: clinical (body mass index, co-morbidities,...
