【目的】診断参考レベルの効果的な設定と適用には,放射線装置および放射線測定器の精確な管理と,放射線量の正確な測定に伴う不確かさの評価が不可欠である.本研究では,乳房用X線装置の品質管理における平均乳腺線量(average glandular dose: AGD)の不確かさを詳細に評価し,放射線診療の精度と安全性を向上させるための推奨事項を提供した.【方法】AGD評価の不確かさ評価においては,半価層,入射空気カーマ,変換係数の各測定における相対標準不確かさを考慮し,最終的に拡張不確かさとして表現し,その区間を明確に定義した.【結果】2種類の線量計を用いたAGD評価から,不確かさの主要な要因は線量計の校正定数および変換係数の不確かさであることが判明した.【結語】不確かさを低減するためには,定期的に校正された線量計の使用が有効であり,信頼性の高い測定が可能である.2種類の線量計は一般的に使用されるため,本研究の結果は医療施設で品質管理におけるAGD評価の不確かさの参考値として役立つと考えられる.
