Abstract Background Array comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) is currently the most powerful method for detecting chromosomal alterations in pre and postnatal clinical cases. In this study, we developed a BAC based array CGH analysis platform whole genome DNA copy number changes including specific micro deletion duplication disorders. Additionally, report our experience with implementation of platform. was performed on 5080 samples from patients referred variety phenotypes. Results A...

We evaluated a new immunochromatographic assay (ICA) using mouse monoclonal anti-MPT64 antibody for rapid discrimination between Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria in clinical isolates. A study with other organisms showed excellent sensitivity (approximately equal 99%) specificity (100%) an appropriate detection limit (10(5) CFU/ml) when tested M. H37Rv. This ICA can simplify the identification of laboratories.

Biology is generating more data than ever. As a result, there an ever increasing number of publicly available databases that analyse, integrate and summarize the data, providing invaluable resource for biological community. this trend continues, pressing need to organize, catalogue rate these resources, so information they contain can be most effectively exploited. Frequent itemset mining is widely used as a fundamental data technique. However, the size increases, relatively slow performances of existing methods hinder its applicability. Although many sequential frequent have been proposed, there clear limit to performance that can be achieved using single thread. To overcome this limitation, various parallel multi-core CPU, multiple machine, or many-core graphic processing unit (GPU) approaches proposed. these still drawbacks, including performance,...

Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a nucleic acid method that allows the simple, quick, and low-cost detection of various viral genes. LAMP assays are susceptible to generating non-specific amplicons, as high concentrations DNA primers can give rise primer dimerization mismatched hybridizations, resulting in false-positive signals. Herein, we reported poly(ethylene glycol)-engrafted nanosized graphene oxide (PEG-nGO) significantly enhance specificity LAMP, owing its ability...

ABSTRACT Since vancomycin-intermediate Staphylococcus aureus (VISA) was first reported in Japan 1997, there has been great concern that heterogeneous S. (hetero-VISA) is the putative precursor of VISA.
