Tissue-specific extracellular matrix plays an important role in promoting tissue regeneration and repair. We hypothesized that decellularized annular fibrosus may be appropriate scaffold for engineering. aimed to determine the optimal decellularization method suitable fibrosus. Annular was treated with 3 different protocols Triton X-100, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) trypsin. After process, we examined cell removal preservation of components, microstructure mechanical function treatments...

A method to functionalize single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) in a field-effect transistor (FET) device for the selective detection of heavy-metal ions is presented. In this method, peptide-modified polymers were electrochemically deposited onto SWNTs and metal was demonstrated by choosing appropriate peptide sequences. The signal transduction mechanism SWNT-FETs has also been studied.

Ochratoxins were important secondary metabolites secreted by fungi, and OTA OTB are mainly significant mycotoxin, having toxic effects on humans animals. Therefore, it is to establish a rapid, sensitive precise method for ochratoxins detection quantification in real samples. In this study, stable monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizing both toxins was employed the establishment of indirect competitive ELISA (ic-ELISA), colloidal gold nanoparticles (CGNs) nanoflowers strips (AuNFs) A 6E5...

Epigenetic modifications function in gene transcription, RNA metabolism, and other biological processes. However, multiple factors currently limit the scientific utility of epigenomic datasets generated for plants. Here, using deep-learning approaches, we developed a Smart Model Epigenetics Plants (SMEP) to predict six types modifications: DNA 5-methylcytosine (5mC) N6-methyladenosine (6mA) methylation, (m6 A) three histone modification. Using from japonica rice Nipponbare, SMEP achieved 95%...

An aligned and well-distributed carbon nanotubes array was produced by pyrolysis of hydrocarbons catalyzed nickel nanoparticles embedded in porous silicon (PS) substrates. Scanning electron microscope images show that the form an approximately perpendicular to surface PS substrate diameters most tubes within are 10–30 nm. High-magnification transmission microscopy confirmed well graphitized typically consist about 15 concentric shells sheets. Furthermore, strong field emission from emitter observed.

ABSTRACT Bifidobacterium longum DJO10A was previously demonstrated to produce a lantibiotic, but only during growth on agar media. To evaluate the feasibility of production this lantibiotic in broth media, transcription analysis lanA gene undertaken. Comparative microarray and cultures B. revealed that production, modification, transport/peptidase, immunity genes were significantly upregulated cultures, while two-component regulatory expressed equally under both conditions. This suggested...

Summary RNA editing plays an important role in organellar gene expression plants, and pentatricopeptide repeat ( PPR ) proteins are involved this function. Because of its large family size, many not known for their function roles plant growth development. Through genetic molecular analyses the empty pericarp18 emp18 mutant maize Zea mays ), we cloned Emp18 gene, revealed function, defined mitochondrial complex assembly seed encodes a mitochondrial‐localized DYW ‐ protein.
