Deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) can classify skin diseases at a level equivalent to dermatologist, but their performance in specific areas requires further research. To evaluate the of trained DCNN‐based algorithm classifying benign and malignant lip diseases. A training set 1629 images (743 malignant, 886 benign) was used with Inception‐Resnet‐V2. Performance evaluated using another 344 281 from other hospitals. Classifications by 44 participants (six board‐certified...
Two-dimensional (2D) semiconducting materials have attracted significant interest as promising candidates for channel owing to their high mobility and gate tunability at atomic-layer thickness. However, the development of 2D electronics is impeded due difficulty in formation high-quality dielectrics with a clean nondestructive interface. Here, we report direct van der Waals epitaxial growth molecular crystal dielectric, Sb2O3, on by physical vapor deposition. The grown Sb2O3 nanosheets...
Novel average bit or symbol error rate (BER/SER) bounds are obtained for systems with instantaneous signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) given by a sum of \(N\) statistically independent non-negative random variables (RVs). Their tightness is quantified analytically at high SNR calculating the gap, and shown to be within O(1/N) true value. The most useful when distribution intractable. illustrated maximum ratio combining (MRC), combined performance amplify-and-forward (AF) relay networks using...

A novel type of electromechanical total artificial heart (TAH) based on a circular rolling cylinder mechanism was developed to overcome critical problems in motor-driven hearts, such as large size and difficulties fitting the atrial remnants arterial vessels. Its performance reliability were evaluated mock circulation an animal implant experiment. The weight volume pump are 650 g 600 mL, respectively. This implanted calf for replacement 96...
As the technology of Internet Things (IoT) evolves, abundant data is generated from sensor nodes and exchanged between them. For this reason, efficient encryption required to keep in secret. Since low-end IoT devices have limited computation power, it difficult operate expensive ciphers on Lightweight block reduce overheads, which are suitable for platforms. In paper, we implemented optimized CHAM cipher counter mode operation, 8-bit AVR microcontrollers (i.e., representative nodes). There...

The prototype consists brushless dc motor inside rolling-cylinder, two arc-shaped pusher-plates and polyurethane sacs. electromechanical pump structural advantages small size light weight, as compared to other reported pumps fixed-actuator mechanisms. results the mock circulation tests are in this paper cardiac output 9 L/min at an aortic pressure 120 mmHg rate bpm. fulfillment basic...
A wireless networked multi-site triaxial accelerometry system has been devised to estimate activity energy expenditure during daily life. notable feature of the is utilisation classification based on acceleration signals. During performance evaluation tests a single subject, proposed method showed higher correlation (adjusted R2=0.952) and smaller estimation deviation (0.76 kcal/min) than two methods without (multi-site case: adjusted R2=0.924, deviation=0.892 kcal/min single-site R2=0.855,...
Beamforming (BF) performance is analyzed in amplify/decode and forward (AF/DF) fixed relay networks with a Rayleigh fading channel. Novel lower-bounds are presented for AF/DF relaying schemes such as selection known/unknown channel information of the link at source destination. We show that achievable expense rate penalty. The optimal signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) threshold relaying. High SNR analysis also done AF networks. Finally, we comparisons among strong-path BF optimized corresponding...
A scheme, which beamforms from the source to stronger of direct and relay links, is analyzed in amplify/decode forward (AF/DF) fixed networks. Novel upper-bounds selection relaying for strong-path beamforming (BF) are presented AF/DF with known unknown channel information link at destination. Performance comparisons shown among BF optimized a corresponding lower-bound.
This paper proposes a telerobotic system based on smartphone and Nao, humanoid robot from Aldebaran Robotics. A user can control the using her interact with people surroundings around in remote location. The overall includes two servers to facilitate connection between user's robot. We have particularly focused providing user-friendly interface such that who is unfamiliar platform intuitively.
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Beamforming (BF) performance is analyzed for amplify-and-forward (AF) fixed two-hop relay networks in independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) Rayleigh fading channels. A novel bound using a new symbol-error-rate (SER) approximation presented AF equipped with multiple antennas at the source, relay, destination when channel state information (CSI) of link known source destination. High signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) also to simplify via diversity...
Though intensity-hue-saturation (IHS) approaches for image fusion are very fast and easy to implement, they have the intrinsic problem of spectral distortion. To reduce colour distortion in IHS methods, a maximum posteriori estimator is proposed that minimises distance between estimated intensity panchromatic image, which preserves information sharpens reconstructed images. The simulation demonstrates method reconstructs clearer images yields good results, both subjectively quantitatively.
This paper reports a micro/nanofluidic device performing selective preconcentration and collection of two different charged molecules with physicochemical properties using ion concentration polarization (ICP). By the balance between electroosmotic drag force electrophoretic on molecules, dyes were highly preconcentrated separated simultaneously. With repeated geometry, depletion zone was stabilized selectively plug well-defined. For subsequent on-chip or off-chip applications, pneumatic...
