We have produced a draft sequence of the rice genome for most widely cultivated subspecies in China, Oryza sativa L. ssp. indica , by whole-genome shotgun sequencing. The was 466 megabases size, with an estimated 46,022 to 55,615 genes. Functional coverage assembled sequences 92.0%. About 42.2% exact 20-nucleotide oligomer repeats, and transposons were intergenic regions between Although 80.6% predicted Arabidopsis thaliana genes had homolog rice, only 49.4% A. . large proportion no...

We report a draft sequence for the genome of domesticated silkworm (Bombyx mori), covering 90.9% all known genes. Our estimated gene count is 18,510, which exceeds 13,379 genes reported Drosophila melanogaster. Comparative analyses to fruitfly, mosquito, spider, and butterfly reveal both similarities differences in content.

Plastics have been accumulated offshore and in the deep oceans at an unprecedented scale. Microbial communities colonized plastisphere, which has become a reservoir for both antibiotic metal resistance genes (ARGs MRGs). This is first analysis of diversity, abundance, co-occurrence ARGs MRGs, their relationships within microbial community, using metagenomic data plastic particles observed North Pacific Gyre obtained from National Centre Biotechnology Information Sequence Read Archive...

The Taming of the Silkworm Silkworms, Bombyx mori , represent one few domesticated insects, having been over 10,000 years ago. Xia et al. (p. 433 published online 27 August) sequenced 29 domestic and 11 wild silkworm lines identified genes that were most likely to be selected during domestication. These those enhance silk production, reproduction, growth. Furthermore, silkworms probably only once from a large progenitor population, rather than on multiple occasions, as has observed for other animals.

Abstract Two-dimensional semiconductors can be used to build next-generation electronic devices with ultrascaled channel lengths. However, need integrated high-quality dielectrics—which are challenging deposit. Here we show that single-crystal strontium titanate—a high- κ perovskite oxide—can two-dimensional using van der Waals forces. Strontium titanate thin films grown on a sacrificial layer, lifted off and then transferred onto molybdenum disulfide tungsten diselenide make n-type p-type...

Genomics provides an unprecedented opportunity to probe in minute detail into the genomes of world's most deadly pathogenic bacteria- Yersinia pestis. Here we report complete genome sequence Y. pestis strain 91001, a human-avirulent isolated from rodent Brandt's vole-Microtus brandti. The 91001 consists one chromosome and four plasmids (pPCP1, pCD1, pMT1 pCRY). 9609-bp pPCP1 plasmid is almost identical counterparts reference strains (CO92 KIM). There are 98 genes 70,159-bp range pCD1....

A global survey was performed with 122 aquatic metagenomic DNA datasets (92 lake water and 30 seawater) obtained from the Sequence Read Archive (SRA). Antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) metal (MRGs) were derived dataset sequences via bioinformatic analysis. The relative abundances of ARGs MRGs in samples ranges ND (not detected)–1.34 × 100 1.22 10−3–1.98 10−1 copies per 16S rRNA, which higher than those seawater samples. Among ARGs, multidrug bacitracin had high both sea Multi-metal genes,...

Bimetal catalysts are good alternatives for non-enzymatic glucose sensors owing to their low cost, high activity, conductivity, and ease of fabrication. In the present study, a self-supported CuNi/C electrode prepared by electrodepositing Cu nanoparticles on Ni-based metal–organic framework (MOF) derivate was used as sensor. The porous construction carbon scaffold inherited from Ni-MOF guarantee kinetics process in electrochemical detection. Furthermore, disturb array structure MOF derived...

In this paper, a novel segmental partial transmit sequence (S-PTS) scheme is proposed for the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in offset quadrature amplitude modulation based orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OQAM-OFDM) systems. The key idea of S-PTS to divide overlapped OQAM-OFDM signals into number segments, and then some disjoint subblocks are divided multiplied with different phase rotation factors each segment. Compared conventional PTS directly employed sytems,...
