InPBi was predicted to be the most robust infrared optoelectronic material but also difficult synthesize within In-VBi (V = P, As and Sb) 25 years ago. We report first successful growth of single crystals with Bi concentration far beyond doping level by gas source molecular beam epitaxy. The thin films reveal excellent surface, structural optical qualities making it a promising new III–V compound family member for heterostructures. is found 2.4 ± 0.4% 94 5% atoms at substitutional sites....

We propose a compact, broadband, and low-loss polarization beam splitter (PBS) based on an asymmetrical directional coupler the lithium-niobate-on-insulator platform, consisting of amorphous silicon (a-Si) assisted waveguide, normal waveguide. With proper design a-Si nanowire, lithium niobate waveguides, phase-matching condition is satisfied for TE polarization, while significant mismatching exists TM polarization. Abstract The measurement of cosmic-ray individual spectra provides unique information regarding the origin and propagation astro-particles. Due to limited acceptance current space experiments, protons nuclei around “knee” region (∼ 1 PeV) can only be observed by ground based experiments. Thanks an innovative design, High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection (HERD) facility will allow direct observation up this energy region: instrument is mainly on a 3D segmented, isotropic homogeneous...

Context. Active longitudes have been found in various manifestations of solar activity. The longitudinal distribution of, e.g., sunspots and X-ray flares shows two persistent preferred separated by roughly 180 degrees. We previously studied using an improved version a dynamic, differentially rotating coordinate system enhanced rotational asymmetry rotation parameter values that are consistent for the three classes flares.
