Five tetrabutylammonium-based amino acid ionic liquids (AAILs), tetrabutylammonium serine ([N4444][Ser]), threonine ([N4444][Thr]), valine ([N4444][Val]), leucine ([N4444][Leu]) and lysine ([N4444][Lys]) have been easily prepared by the neutralization of hydroxide ([N4444][OH]) with five corresponding acids. These AAILs only contain elements C, N, O H in their structures, so they are more environmentally friendly than conventional phosphorus-, halogen- or sulfur-containing lubricants. The...
The present paper investigates a new type of thermoreversible gel lubricant obtained by supramolecular assembly low-molecular-weight organic gelator (LMWG) in different base oils. LMWG is nonionic surfactant with polar headgroup and hydrophobic tail that can self-assemble through collective noncovalent intermolecular interactions (H-bonding, interaction) to form fibrous structures trap oils (mineral oils, synthetic water) the as-formed cavities. lubricants are fully upon heating-up cooling...
DOSS– (dioctyl sulfosuccinate) based quaternary ammonium ionic liquids (QAILs) were synthesized and used as both neat lubricants lubricant additives. The influence of structure on their miscibility, thermal stability, tribological property was discussed. These QAILs are low cost compared with conventional halogen-containing (ILs). They noncorrosive hydrolysis stable because halogen-free characteristics. properties these for steel/steel steel/copper contacts found to be better than ILs...
A novel K2S2O8-promoted oxidative cyclization of enamines is described. variety having diverse functional groups and substitution patterns react well using K2S2O8 as the oxidant in absence catalyst. This protocol provides a very simple route for synthesis polycarbonyl pyrroles has advantages readily available starting materials, mild reaction conditions, wide scope substrates.
A nickel-catalyzed iminyl radical-triggered C–C bond cleavage/radical addition/cyclization cascade of oxime esters and vinyl azides is described. This protocol enables rapid access to the cyanoalkylated 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrroles phenanthridines in good yields via adjustment substrate's properties. Moreover, these reactions proceed under mild redox-neutral conditions with a board substrate scope excellent functional group tolerance.
A new concept of in situ preparing ionic liquid (IL) lubricant additives is described the present work. It was found that IL additives, [Li(PEG)]X, could be obtained simply by adding lithium salts (LiX) to base oil (PEG). The formed ILs have extremely good solubility PEG and exhibit excellent friction-reducing anti-wear properties for lubrication steel/steel contacts. tribological are even more effective than those conventional such as 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate (L-B102),...
Tribofilm configuration under the boundary lubrication region is an essential concern to gain insight into tribological enhancement of two-dimensional (2D) nano materials toward base oils. In this work, several alkyl carboxylic acids modified 2D triazine-based covalent organic frameworks (ATC) platelets were fabricated and served as additives. When carbon atoms add up 16, best lubricating performance exhibited at additive concentration 0.05 wt % friction coefficient wear volume are,...
A catalyst-free and stereoselective cycloaddition of pyrazolidin-3-one-derived azomethine imine to <i>trans</i>-β-nitrostyrene is described, which allows versatile, efficient highly enantioselective synthesis N,N-bicyclic pyrazolidinone derivatives.
A K2S2O8/TEMPO-induced oxidative cyclization of N-unprotected enaminoesters and enaminones that gave 1H-pyrrol-2(3H)-ones in good yields with broad functional group compatibility is reported. This method provides easy access to 1,2-carbon migration ester or acyl under transition-metal-free conditions.
The reaction conditions are regulated to realize the preparation of a high piezoelectric thin film via solvothermal process.
A key factor in the potential clinical utility of membrane-active antibiotics is their cell selectivity (i.e., prokaryote over eukaryote). Cationic steroid were developed to mimic lipid binding character polymyxin B and are shown bind derivatives with affinity greater than that B. The outer membranes Gram-negative bacteria comprised primarily A, a fluorophore-appended cationic antibiotic displays very high for bacterial Gram-positive eukaryotic membranes. This may be due, part, these compounds A.
[Chemical reaction: see text] Polysubstituted furans and highly functionalized 2H-pyrans were prepared in good yields by DABCO-catalyzed reactions of alpha-halo carbonyl compounds with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate (DMAD) at room temperature.
A novel way of in situ forming ionic liquids (ILs) synthetic esters is presented. Lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) can form ILs with esters, [Li(synthetic ester)]TFSI, by the donation lone pairs on carbonyl oxygen atoms an ester molecule to a lithium ion weakly Lewis-acidic complex cation ester)](+) and following interaction Lewis-basic anion TFSI(-) generate ester)]TFSI. LiTFSI has high solubility because formation. The physicochemical tribological properties ester)]TFSI...
