Hibiscus syriacus (L.) (rose of Sharon) is one the most widespread garden shrubs in world. We report a draft H. genome comprised 1.75 Gb assembly that covers 92% with only 1.7% (33 Mb) gap sequences. Predicted gene modeling detected 87,603 genes, mostly supported by deep RNA sequencing data. To define family distribution among relatives syriacus, orthologous sets containing 164,660 genes 21,472 clusters were identified OrthoMCL analysis five plant species, including Arabidopsis thaliana,...

Background With longer life spans and medical advancements, the rising number of patients with advanced-stage Parkinson’s disease (PD) warrants attention. Current literature predominantly addresses dementia fall management in these patients. However, exploring impact swallowing function on advanced PD is crucial. Previous research has demonstrated notable enhancements quality related to voice for participants following a group singing-intervention program. To further elucidate effect...

SummaryThe columnar growth habit in apple is desirable for labour-saving cultivation, since trees can be planted very close together with no staking and little pruning. Bulked segregant analysis randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) were performed to identify markers linked the (Co) using an F1 progeny of standard ‘Fuji’ (coco)× ‘Tuscan’ (Coco). Of 432 10-mer or 12-mer primers examined, only one clear repeatable product appeared Co gene. The RAPD marker, designated as WB82670, was...

Plumarella spinosa (Anthozoa: Octocorallia: Primnoidae) is an endangered marine soft coral species discovered on a 50–100 m deep reefs in South Korea. We analyzed the mitochondrial genome sequence of this species. The size was 19,037 bp length consisting 14 protein coding genes (PCGs), two rRNA and tRNA gene. Our phylogenetic analysis for with 33 Octocorallia reconstructed based nucleotide sequences PCGs showed that P. placed as sister to Narella hawainensis Primnoidae formed monophyletic group.
