The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the fracture resistance and failure modes CEREC endo-crowns with classic designed crown supported glass fiber-reinforced composite posts cores. influences thermal cycling fatigue loading on both types restorations were also investigated. Twenty extracted intact maxillary premolars randomly divided into two groups (C E). portion specimens removed 1.5 mm above cementoenamel junction (CEJ). All endodontically treated a nickel-titanium rotary...

In this study, green composite films based on cellulose nanocrystal/chitosan (CNC/CS) were fabricated by solution casting. FTIR, XRD, SEM, and TEM characterizations conducted to determine the structure morphology of prepared films. The addition only 4 wt.% CNC in CS film improved tensile strength Young’s modulus up 39% 78%, respectively. Depending content, moisture absorption decreased 34.1–24.2% water solubility 35.7–26.5% for compared with neat film. vapor permeation from 3.83 × 10−11 2.41...

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a prevalent environmental contaminant found in plastics and known for its endocrine-disrupting properties, posing risks to both human health the environment. Despite widespread presence, impact of BPA on papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) progression, especially under realistic conditions, not well understood. This study examined effects PTC using 3D tumor spheroid model, which better mimicked complex interactions within tissues compared traditional 2D models. Our findings...

Background . Mitochondrial dynamics (mtDYN) has been proposed as a bridge between mitochondrial dysfunction and insulin resistance (IR), which is involved in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes (T2D). Our previous study identified that DNA (mtDNA) haplogroup B4 T2D‐susceptible genotype. Using transmitochondrial cybrid model, we have confirmed contributes to cellular IR well profission mtDYN, can be reversed by antioxidant treatment. However, causal relationship mtDYN pertaining remains...

Hydrogels have been investigated as ideal biomaterials for wound treatment owing to their ability form a highly moist environment which accelerates cell migration and tissue regeneration prompt healing. They can also be used drug carrier local delivery, are able activate immune cells enhance Here, we developed heparin-conjugated poly(N-isopropylacrylamide), an injectable, in situ gel-forming polymer, evaluated its use Ibuprofen was encapsulated into the hydrogel help reduce pain excessive...

Abstract In this study, we successfully prepared poly (vinyl alcohol)/chitosan/sodium alginate blended (PCS/SA) composite membranes by a simple solution casting method and solvent evaporation technique. The physicochemical properties effect of different wt% sodium (SA) on alcohol)/chitosan (PCS) were systematically evaluated studied along with its shape memory mechanism. With increased SA, the crystallinity PCS/SA reduced significantly. membrane has better thermal stability than pure PVA but...

The search for alternatives to petroleum-based thermoplastic polyamide elastomers (TPAEs) has recently drawn great interest. In this study, a bio-massed TPAE, PA12,36, was synthesized using 1,12-dodecanediamine (DDA) and fatty dimer acid (FDA, PripolTM1009) precursors via catalyst solvent-free melt polycondensation. molecular structure weight of the PA12,36 were characterized by 1H NMR, FTIR, GPC. displayed low melting temperature 85.8 °C, an initial degradation 425 glass-transition 30.4...

Fever of unknown origin (FUO) is a diagnostic challenge. This study aimed to assess the efficacy fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) and gallium-67 single-photon computed (67Ga SPECT/CT) in diagnosing FUO.A total 68 patients with FUO underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT 67Ga SPECT/CT from January 2013 through May 2016. Images were read independently. The imaging results compared final diagnosis categorized as helpful for or non-contributory...
