Inocybe crenata sp. nov. (subsec. Geophyllinae, sect. Tardae) has been described from conifer dominated forests of Pakistan. differs other related species by having a pale-yellow pileus with crenate margins and bumpy or cracked center, fibrillose stipe. Phylogenetic analysis based on nuclear ribosomal large subunit (LSU) internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) sequence data supported the identity as distinct taxon. A detailed description this novel is provided.

During various surveys of powdery mildews conducted in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, four species proved to be new for Pakistan. Powdery mildew infections have been confirmed on five plant the genera Ulmus , Celtis Origanum Mirabilis Oxalis . After morphological examination molecular analyses, causal agents were identified as Erysiphe kenjiana E kusanoi nyctaginacearum russellii The taxonomic characters each are given, along with an ITS‐based phylogenetic analysis, notes distribution.

ABSTRACT The genus Itajahya , a rare member of the Phallaceae family, is characterized by its unique calyptra at apex gleba. During 2020–2024, we collected fresh specimens two new species from Pakistan, enabling DNA sequencing, thorough morphoanatomic, and scanning electron microscopic characterization. This study aims to document these with detailed descriptions, analyses, comparisons existing species, clarifying their taxonomic status. pakistanica features white off‐white immature fruiting...

This study reports a new species, Phellorinia pakistanica, from the xerophytic region of Mianwali, Punjab, Pakistan. Specimens were collected, analyzed morphologically, molecularly and through Scanning electron microscopy. Phylogenetic analyses based on ITS sequences revealed that pakistanica is closely related to P. herculeana . Key distinguishing features include its basidiome structure with woody stipe, bulbous base, distinctive exoperidium. The ‘Khumbi' known for nutritional medicinal...

Mushrooms with a thin-fleshed pileus that becomes plicate on opening, deliquescent lamellae and dark brown to blackish basidiospores are commonly called coprinoid mushrooms. The genus Coprinellus is one of the important lineages mushroom in family Psathyrellaceae. Species-level taxonomy based mainly presence or absence structure veil cystidia pileus, basidiospore morphology. In this study, four new species (Co.campanulatus, Co.disseminatus-similis, Co.pakistanicus Co.tenuis) described from...
