The family of grasses (Poaceae) is one the most diverse plant families, with tribe Stipeae representing an ecologically significant group more than 600 species primarily distributed in arid and semi-arid regions. genus Neotrinia , a lesser-known member this tribe, characterised by unique morphological traits, including distinctive patterns lemma epidermis. During field studies upper Kurram Valley, Pakistan, we found new species, kurramica which described here. This perennial grass exhibits...

Interesting species with characteristic features of the section Aegacantha were collected from Pakistan, one new and record are described reported. Astragalus saifullahaicus sp. nov. is close to A. hostilis, but differs latter by longer internodes, broadly- triangular stipules, elliptic obovate leaflets cuneate base, obtuse apex, often mucronate, racemes 2-flowered legumes oblong elliptic, densely covered appressed hairs a slightly curved, 3–5.5 mm long beak. The present biogeographic distribution of tiger beetle fauna is an attempt to register all modern taxa from Pakistan. It includes 55 under 14 genera and 11 subgenera. Three species, Cylindera (Eriodera) albopunctata (Chaudoir1852), Cicindela viridilabris (Chaudoir 1852) Neocollyris (Neocollyris) redtenbacheri (Horn 1894) are recorded Pakistan for the first time.

Two new pathogens, Guignardia korthalsellae and Rosenscheldiella korthalsellae, are described from New Zealand's pygmy mistletoes (Korthalsella, Viscaceae). Both form ascomata on living phylloclades with minimal disruption of the tissue. Fungal hyphae within phylloclade primarily intercellular. disrupts a limited number epidermal cells immediately around erumpent ascoma, while Rosenscheldiellakorthalsellae develop externally small patches stromatic tissue that above stomatal cavities. is...

Astragalus L. sect. Aegacantha Bunge includes 57 described species, mostly confined to Southwest Asia and Central Asia. We studied the pollen morphology of 17 species this section present in Pakistan. Pollen is poorly investigated despite its systematic importance.
