We present a systematic study of the crystal field interactions in Li$R$F$_4$, $R$ = Gd, Ho, Er, Tm and Yb, family rare-earth magnets. Using detailed inelastic neutron scattering measurements we have been able to quantify transition energies wavefunctions for each system. This allows us quantitatively describe high-temperature susceptibility series materials make predictions based on mean-field approach low-temperature thermal quantum phase transitions. show that coupling between phonon...

We report ac susceptibility, specific heat, and neutron scattering measurements on a dipolar-coupled antiferromagnet ${\mathrm{LiYbF}}_{4}$. For the thermal transition, order-parameter critical exponent is found to be 0.20(1) specific-heat $\ensuremath{-}0.25(1)$. The exponents agree with 2D $XY/{h}_{4}$ universality class despite lack of apparent two-dimensionality in structure. for quantum phase transitions 0.35(1) corresponding $(2+1)\mathrm{D}$. Abstract With the increased reliance on in vitro dissolution testing as an indicator of vivo drug behavior and trend towards silico modeling dosage form performance, need for bioperformance methodology development has been enhanced. Determination delivery profile is essential test vitro/in correlation modeling, well understanding absorption mechanisms. Comprehensive multiphase (CMP) NMR, first described in 2012, combines all of the hardware components necessary to analyze phases (solid, gel, and solution) samples their natural state. In combination with spectral editing experiments, it can fully differentiate study transfer chemical species across between phases, providing unprecedented molecular-level information unaltered systems. Microcoils provide a cost-effective approach to improve detection limits for mass-limited samples. Single-sided planar microcoils are advantageous in comparison volume coils, that the sample can simply be placed on top. However, considerable drawback is RF field produced by coil decreases with distance from surface, which potentially more complex multi-pulse NMR pulse sequences. Unfortunately, 1 H alone not very informative intact biological samples due line broadening caused magnetic...
