In the present study, we investigated structure and selected functional properties of zein protein as treated with subcritical water. The results showed that water treatment, different time (20–120 min) temperatures (110–170°C), increased solubility, foam capacity, stability significantly (p < 0.05). Analyses particle size analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, circular dichroism spectra, electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy indicated treatment improved thermal denaturation...
Aims Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) has been utilized for diagnosing infectious diseases. It is a culture-free and hypothesis-free nucleic acid test all pathogens with known genomic sequences, including bacteria, fungi, viruses parasites. While this technique greatly expands the clinical capacity of pathogen detection, it second-line choice due to lengthy procedures microbial contaminations introduced from wet-lab processes. As result, we aimed reduce hands-on time exogenous...
Two coloured bacteria were isolated from the same plate for detecting cultivable air of Xinjiang in China. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that isolates members genus Kocuria, which they represented two novel lineages. Although strains presented high sequence similarity (above 97 %), their DNA G+C contents very different (6 mol%). The HO-9041T and HO-9042T are 71 65 mol%, respectively. relatedness analysis other taxonomic evidence supports placement Kocuria....
Zinc alloys have emerged as promising biodegradable metals thanks to their critical physiological roles and encouraging degradation behavior. In this study, calcium phosphate (CaP) coatings were made on micro-arc oxidized Zn alloy using hydrothermal treatment (HT), which was motivated by the CaP-based minerals in natural bone tissue. The coating morphology optimized controlling HT time, resulting a homogeneous micro-CaP structure. CaP significantly increased cell viability adhesion of...
Telangiectatic osteosarcoma (TOS) is a rare and aggressive subtype of that often misdiagnosed as more benign lesions, such aneurysmal bone cysts (ABCs) or giant cell tumors (GCTs). The accurate differentiation between these conditions crucial to ensure timely appropriate treatment, misdiagnosis can lead delayed management poor prognoses. We present the case 12-year-old girl who initially presented with left hip proximal thigh pain, imaging studies suggesting an ABC. Following curettage...
A bacterial isolate, strain XM415(T), obtained from soil of Tibet in China was characterized using a polyphasic taxonomic approach. Strain XM415(T) aerobic, Gram-negative, gliding, rod-shaped, oxidase-negative and catalase-positive. showed the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Lysobacter niastensis GH41-7(T) (96.0 %). Ubiquinone Q-8 branched fatty acids, such as iso-C(16 : 0) (24.0 %), iso-C(15 (22.6 iso-C(17 1)omega9c (6.7 iso-C(14 (6.1 %) iso-C(11 3-OH (5.2 were predominant...
ABSTRACT A molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) prepared with Pickering emulsion polymerization was designed by a computational approach for removal of acephate from aqueous solution. Methacrylic acid, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and chloroform were screened as the optimal functional monomer, crosslinker, porogen Gaussian 03 package using density theory method. The carried out in an oil‐in‐water nano‐SiO 2 particles stabilizer instead toxic surfactant. characterization results indicated...
Abstract An electrochemical molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) sensor for detecting the existence of epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate (EGCG) in tea and its products was successfully developed on basis a glassy carbon electrode modified with an electropolymerized nonconducting poly( o ‐phenylenediamine) film. The properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse infrared spectroscopy. template molecules could be rapidly thoroughly removed methanol/acetic acid. linear response...
Pure metals tend to have a superior malleability compared alloys. However, the applicability of pure is limited by their low strengths and hardness properties. In this study, strong ductile Ti was synthesized via an approach involving powder modification additive manufacturing (AM) under reactive atmosphere. Specifically, processed laser bed fusion in environment containing mixture argon nitrogen gases. In-situ high-energy synchrotron X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that in-situ...
To investigate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of children with
A new molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) electrochemical sensor was prepared by anchoring an insulating poly(o-phenylenediamine) film on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface for the determination of acephate in aqueous solution. In this protocol, selection functional monomer performed computationally using density theory method to evaluate template–monomer interaction energy. The properties MIP–GCE were characterized cyclic voltammetry and alternating current impedance. Under optimal...
The microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast shear-extruded Mg-5·0Sn-1·5Y-0·1Zr alloys were investigated in detail using optical microscopy, scanning electron X-ray diffraction tensile tests. Results showed α -magnesium (α -Mg) dendrite, discontinuous acicular Mg 2 Sn rod MgSnY phases along the grain boundaries alloy with an average size 90 μm. fine phases, as well their aggregations, dispersed alloy. was refined to below 6.0 μm at a shear-extrusion temperature 473 K strength...
