As power density emerges as the main constraint for many-core systems, controlling consumption under Thermal Design Power (TDP) while maximizing performance becomes increasingly critical. To dynamically save power, Dynamic Voltage Frequency Scaling (DVFS) techniques have proved to be effective and are widely available commercially. In this paper, we present an On-line Distributed Reinforcement Learning (OD-RL) based DVFS control algorithm system improvement constraints. At finer grain, a...

Cellular neural networks (CeNNs) have been widely adopted in image processing tasks. Recently, various hardware implementations of CeNNs emerged the literature, with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) being one most popular choices due to its high flexibility and low time-to-market. However, typically involve extensive computations a recursive manner. As an example, simply process 1,920 × 1,080 pixels requires 4--8 Giga floating point multiplications (for 3 templates 50–100 iterations),...

Abstract The performance enhancement of conventional Si MOSFETs through device scaling is becoming increasingly difficult. application high mobility channel materials one the most promising solutions to overcome bottleneck. Ge and GeSn channels attract a lot interest as alternative materials, not only because carrier but also superior compatibility with typical CMOS technology. In this paper, recent progress has been investigated, providing feasible approaches improve devices for future technologies.

Polarity reversal and current intermittence are two attainable approaches to improve the electro-osmosis effect as well reduce energy consumption. The objective of this paper is evaluate impact polarity on and, furthermore, optimize electrifying process. Laboratory tests were performed with different intervals distributions power on-off time. Drainage monitored investigate reinforced effect. It demonstrated that proper design in can excessively enhance electro-osmotic Conversely, has an...
