Following the identification of Aedes (Ae.) aegypti in Sochi area Russia at beginning 2000, entomological surveys were conducted during summers 2007, 2011, and 2012, leading to Ae. albopictus koreicus. These findings highlight as being only country World Health Organization European Region with a documented presence both mosquitoes. Both mosquito species are found on coasts Black Sea. Control measures needed reduce possible risks importing exotic vector-borne infections, such dengue chikungunya.
