Summary Quantitative prediction of reservoir tectonic fracture development characteristics, opening pressures, and sequences is critical in the exploration oil- gas-bearing reservoirs thus has received widespread attention. Using numerical simulations paleostress field during formation fractures rock criterion, we predict occurrence Middle Ordovician Yijianfang Formation Shunnan region Tarim Basin, China. The local fields reflected by mechanical properties obtained from core descriptions,...
Hydraulic oscillation is a fluctuating phenomenon of pressure and discharge in pipes, which can threaten the safety hydropower, pumping water conveyance systems. To analyse associated problems, new methods with simple form clear physics are needed. This paper presents water-hammer reflection coefficient-based criterion for stability evaluation free-vibration hydraulic The (or attenuation) condition single pipe system that modulus product coefficients at inlet outlet should be smaller than 1....
Abstract The size of the impedance hole one-way surge tank will affect its protection against water hammer. In this paper, a mathematical model with is established based on characteristic line method. pressure-reducing penetration formula including loss and calculation make-up flow are deduced. Based these formulas, influence diameter ratio (ratio to pipeline) hammer effect analyzed, reasonable value range given. correctness theoretical analysis results verified by an engineering example....
Abstract In the long-distance water supply system, air tank can effectively protect pump failure hammer, but large will increase investment. This paper analyzes hydraulic transient process of system with tanks, and proposes a joint protection method an behind valves at end pipeline. The function coupling relationship are clarified, theoretical analysis numerical optimization framework layout scheme constructed, potential hidden trouble conditions discussed. A setting combined is proposed to...
Abstract In the long-distance water supply system, air tank can effectively protect hammer when pump stops, and shape parameters of determine protective effect. Based on theory rigid body harmonic vibration, this paper derived calculation formulas for surge bottom pressure changing process in system with without friction impedance put forward theoretical method to estimate volume established relationship between operating volume. Combined actual project, under different working conditions,...
The discrete wavelet transform (DWT) has received considerable attention in the context of image processing due to its temporal and frequency characteristics. A specific VLSI architecture for forward/inverse DWT is presented. characteristics structure coefficients are utilized reduce circuit area. In addition, Booth algorithm balanced pipelines have been adopted which result a high throughput at 2 outputs per clock 5 clocks' pipeline latency. This design described verified by VHDL...
Abstract Numerical simulations of the paleostress field during a period tectonic fracture formation and rock failure criteria are used to quantitatively predict development occurrence fractures induced by SB18 fault zone in Middle Ordovician Yijianfang Formation Shunnan area, Tarim Basin, China. The results acoustic emission experiments, mechanical property measurements, observations obtained from core descriptions fullbore microimager logs combined with Andersonian model faulting finite...
In this paper, a VLSI architecture for forward/inverse 2-D discrete wavelet transform is presented. This design described and verified by the VHDL synthesized Synopsys-synthesizer. The synthesis results show that gate-level circuit contains 7140 gates throughput can reach 4 M pixel/s when LSI 10 K CMOS process technology used.
Abstract The acylation reaction tolerates aromatic and aliphatic amines proceeds with high selectivity towards over hydroxy functionalities.
Vector quantization (VQ) has been extensively applied in image coding systems due to its high compression rate and simple decoder. A new algorithm of VQ based on minimum mean absolute error (MMAE) which is suitable for VLSI implementation proposed this paper. In the algorithm, a criterion sum inequality distortion measure, presorted codebook, nearest neighbors searching dichotomy method have used. All these methods result considerable reduction complexity implementation.
