Summary Winning increases the readiness to attack and probability of winning, a widespread phenomenon known as “winner effect”. Here, we reveal transition from target-specific generalized aggression enhancement over 10 days winning in male mice, which is supported by three stages plasticity ventrolateral part ventromedial hypothalamus (VMHvl), critical node for aggression.
