Polymer self-assembly leading to cooling-induced hydrogel formation is relatively rare for synthetic polymers and typically relies on H-bonding between repeat units. Here, we describe a non-H-bonding mechanism reversible order-order (sphere-to-worm) transition related thermogelation of solutions polymer self-assemblies. A multitude complementary analytical tools allowed us reveal that significant fraction the hydrophobic hydrophilic units underlying block copolymer in close proximity gel...

Abstract Annular centrifugal contactors suitable for laboratory use in solvent extraction work have been designed and tested both hydraulic performance mass-transfer efficiency. The 2-cm nominal flow rates of 80 mL/min efficiencies at least 85% as measured by the uranium. These well organic-to-aqueous (O/A) ratios greater than 0.8. Multistage units allow proposed sheets to be on a continuous basis laboratory. Scale-up larger plant-size is straightforward.

Abstract A dimensionless dispersion number was developed to characterize liquid‐liquid dispersions created in turbulent Couette flow with respect their subsequent coalescence a settling zone. For given solvent pair and continuous phase, the is relatively constant over wide range of operating dimensional parameters. Because this, can be used for design scale‐up liquid extraction equipment discrete stages.

Polymer lipids (PLs) are essential components of liposomes and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for drug gene delivery, providing colloidal stabilization defining the biological interface. While poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)‐based PLs current standard, they suspected to be responsible rare adverse reactions, e. g. LNP‐based Covid‐19 vaccines. Therefore, based on alternative stealth polymers being intensively investigated their use in LNPs. However, often lack comparability due different synthesis...

Here, we introduce a pioneering approach in the domain of transdermal drug delivery systems (TDDS) by using microneedles (MNs) fabricated from amorphous solid dispersion comprising only model and an amphiphilic block copolymer to form nanoformulation upon MN dissolution. This presents most minimalistic maximize loading MN, reaching 40 wt.%. Using scanning electron microscopy, carefully examined morphology MNs across spectrum ratios, revealing remarkable consistency structure integrity....

Previously, the cooling-induced thermogelation of an amphiphilic ABA type triblock copolymer comprising a central poly(2-phenyl-2-oxazine) (pPheOzi) block flanked by hydrophilic poly(2-methyl-2-oxazoline) (pMeOx) blocks was reported. This process is based on unusual, transition in polymer self-assembly from spherical to worm-like micelles, for which PheOzi units are decisive. Here, we investigate this phenomenon further introducing new variants pPheOzi-based copolymers explore variability...
