Abstract: Liver fibrosis is a major pathological feature of chronic liver diseases and there no effective therapy program at present. Schisandrin B (Sch B) the bioactive ingredient Schisandra chinensis , with antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, hepatoprotective properties. This study aimed to investigate protective effect related molecular mechanism Sch against carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4 )-induced in rats. The vivo therapeutic on induced by CCl was examined In vitro, rat hepatic...
Pre‐surgical measurement of supraspinatus muscle extensibility is important for rotator cuff repair. The purpose the present study was to explore potential feasibility a shear wave ultrasound elastography (SWE)‐based method, combined with B‐mode ultrasound, measure in vivo stiffness non‐invasively and thus obtain key information about extensibility. Our investigation comprised two steps. First, we determined orientation fibers cadaveric shoulders without tear order optimize probe positions...
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant cancers worldwide and second leading cause mortality in cancer patients. Thus, accurate diagnosis effective treatment malignancy very critical for HCC The photoacoustic (PA) nanoparticle with ultra-sensitive imaging signals high photothermal conversion efficacy a new promising method achieving desired goals. In this study, we have synthesized novel lipid based on IR-1061 dyes by encapsulating dye into liposome which was...
Abstract Purpose To measure the stiffness of vastus medialis (VM) in hyperthyroid patients before and after treatment. Materials Methods A total five healthy euthyroid were tested using magnetic resonance elastography (MRE), which involves induction shear waves thigh muscles a pneumatic driver at 90 Hz. Results Among pretreatment cohort lower was found when muscle relaxed (2.11 ± 0.61 kPa) compared following treatment hyperthyroidism (5.52 1.52 kPa), accompanied by an improvement contractile...
Abstract Introduction: Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs, or myositis) represent a group of autoimmune diseases that result in decreased muscle strength and/or endurance. Non‐invasive tools to assess may improve our understanding the clinical and functional consequences their response treatment. In this study we examine magnetic resonance elastography (MRE), non‐invasive technique assesses shear modulus (stiffness) muscle, IIM subjects. Methods: Nine subjects with active myositis...
Currently, there are no effective therapies for liver fibrosis; hence, the development of anti-liver fibrosis agents is urgently needed. Here, we attempted to investigate therapeutic effect and mechanism asiatic acid (AA) on fibrosis, mainly focusing impact AA nuclear erythroid 2-related factor 2/antioxidant response element (Nrf2/ARE), factor-kappa B (NF-κB)/IκBα, JAK1/signal transducer activator transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling pathways.Rats were induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) 6...
Schisandra chinensis (S. chinensis) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine widely used for the treatment of liver disease, whose main active components are lignans. However, action mechanisms lignans in S. remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate protective effect and related molecular mechanism lignan extract (SLE) against carbon tetrachloride- (CCl4-) induced acute injury mice. Different doses SLE at 50, 100, 200 mg/kg were administered daily by gavage 5 days before CCl4...
Abstract Background A chromobox homologue 3 (CBX3) is elevated in various cancers and significantly contributes to the promotion of malignant behavior; despite this, its exact involvement clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC) yet unknown. Methods The Cancer Genome Atlas database served evaluate CBX3 production connection survival patients with ccRCC. Our team evaluated effects knockdown levels ccRCC populations using vitro together vivo models. CBX3, proteins related death,...
In recent years, homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) has not achieved the expected substantial promotion of immunotherapeutic efficacy in ovarian cancer. This study aims to explore role HRD functional phenotype as a powerful biomarker identifying patients who may benefit from immunotherapy.HRD phenotype, namely HRD-EXCUTE, was defined average level 15 hub genes upregulated cancer.A decision tree plotted evaluate critical HRD-EXCUTE patients.Agents inducing were identified by CMAP web...
Two new compounds (1-2), together with six known ones (3-8), were isolated from the roots of Paeonia lactiflora Pall. The structures two elucidated based on HR-ESI-MS, UV, and NMR spectroscopic data analysis. Moreover, anti-inflammatory activities 1-8 determined using LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells. Compounds 2, 6, 8 showed most potent inhibitory NO production IC50 values 17.34 ± 1.5, 27.22 1.3, 14.79 1.7 μM, respectively. 4 7 moderate activities. 3 5 relatively weak
Abstract Weeds bring a serious challenge to crop production, and herbicides is the most effective economic way manage it in field. Sorghum critical for staple food, fodder, biofuel. However, lack of herbicide‐resistant sorghum germplasm severely impedes its production. Here, we conducted large‐scale screening identified 13 mutant lines resistant imidazolinone (IMI) herbicides. Two unique mutation sites SbALS ( acetolactate synthase ), thus namely Sbals‐1 (A93T) Sbals‐2 (S624N) are...
Abstract Background Mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilisation (MOMP) plays a pivotal role in cellular death and immune activation. A deeper understanding of the impact tumour MOMP on immunity will aid guiding more effective immunotherapeutic strategies. Methods comprehensive pan‐cancer dataset comprising 30 cancer‐type transcriptomic cohorts, 20 immunotherapy cohorts three scRNA‐seq datasets was collected analysed to determine influence activity clinical prognosis, infiltration...
Twenty-one compounds were isolated and identified from the ethanol extract of Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai, including two new (1 3), a artificial product (2) eighteen known (4–21). Compounds 4–9 11–20 Santalaceae for first time. In this paper, compounds' structures by NMR spectroscopy compare their data with those in literature. Meanwhile, all assessed cytotoxic activity against HepG2 cells, revealing that compound 1 exhibited significant cytotoxicity IC50 value 6.70 ± 2.12 μM.
