Molecular dynamics simulations are performed to investigate the structural phase transition in body-centered cubic (bcc) single crystal iron under high strain rate loading. We study nucleation and growth of hexagonal-close-packed (hcp) face-centered-cubic (fcc) phases, their orientation dependence.
