Whey protein-epigallocatechin gallate (WP-EGCG) covalent conjugates and non-covalent nanocomplexes were prepared compared using Fourier-transform infrared spectra. The effect of pH (at 2.6, 6.2, 7.1, 8.2) on the nanocomplexes' functional properties WP-EGCG interactions investigated by studying antioxidant activity, emulsification, fluorescence quenching, molecular docking, respectively. With formation complexes, amide band decreased; -OH peak disappeared; activity complexes was 2.59-...
Corn starch nanocomposite films with varying concentrations (0–25%) of nanoparticles (SNPs) were obtained the solution casting method. The scanning electron microscopy images, crystalline characteristics, transparency, water vapor permeability, mechanical properties, and thermal behavior evaluated. results showed that when incorporated SNPs from 0 to 15% in films, permeability decreased 5.89 × 10 −12 3.08 g/m s Pa, tensile strength significantly improved 1.40 2.35MPs. Scanning (SEM) revealed...
Novel rutin-loaded zein-sodium caseinate nanoparticles (ZP) with antioxidant activity in aqueous medium were investigated. The results showed that the sodium concentrations, dosages of rutin and ethanol volume fractions significantly affected zein nanoparticles' characteristics. Concerning properties, highest values loaded ZP obtained using 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl scavenging 2 2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) decolourisation assays 52.7% 71.2%, respectively,...
Abstract Controversy exists surrounding whether heterogeneous disruption of the blood–brain barrier (BBB), as seen in glioblastoma (GBM), leads to adequate drug delivery sufficient for efficacy GBM. This question is especially important when using potent, targeted agents that have a poor penetration across an intact BBB. Efficacy murine double minute-2 (MDM2) inhibitor SAR405838 was tested patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models In vitro evaluated PDX with varying MDM2 expression and those...
An efficient method for the synthesis of pyrazoles through a copper-catalyzed condensation reaction has been developed. The new catalytic system not only maintained broad substrate scope but was also active under acid-free conditions, overcoming conventional requirement an acid-catalyzed system. Furthermore, copper catalyst enabled this to be performed at room temperature and in short time.
Starch nanoparticles were potential texture modifiers. However, they have strong tendency to aggregate and poor water dispersibility, which limited their application. The interaction between glucan (prepared from starch by enzymatic modification) protein could significantly improve the dispersity of and, thus, enhance rheological properties food gels. In this work, glucan/protein hybrid successfully developed for first time using short linear (SLG) edible proteins [soy isolate (SPI), rice...
