Plants live in association with diverse microorganisms, collectively called the microbiome. These microbes either inside (endosphere) or outside (episphere) of plant tissues. Microbes play important roles ecology and physiology plants. Significant progress has been made revealing structure dynamics microbiome last few years. Various factors related to host, as well environment influence community composition diversity This review aimed provide a general account (host, microbe environment)...
A new 3D porous anionic MOF (AMOF-1) based on Zn(II) and a flexible tetracarboxylate linker has been synthesized. AMOF-1 showed potential for capture removal of toxic metal ions from aqueous solution with detection limit in the ppm level. The Cu(II)@AMOF-1' hybrid obtained by post-synthetic metalation is studied as heterogeneous catalyst synthesis benzimidazole derivatives.
A bimodal anionic MOF is reported which acts as a turn-off CuII sensor well specific EuIII sensitizer via cation exchange.
We report synthesis, characterization, and properties of a multifunctional oxalate framework, {KDy(C2O4)2(H2O)4}n (1) (C2O42– = dianion) composed two absolutely different metal ions in terms their size, charge, electronic configuration. Dehydrated framework (1′) exhibits permanent porosity interesting solvent (H2O, MeOH, CH3CN, EtOH) vapor sorption characteristics based on specific interactions with unsaturated alkali sites the pore surface. Compound 1 shows responsive bimodal magnetic...
The International Seabed Authority is tasked to develop rules for "equitable sharing of financial and other economic benefits" from deep-sea mining activities in the seabed area beyond national jurisdiction. Without this element legal regime, ISA cannot meet its stated aim ensuring are undertaken 'benefit [hu]mankind as a whole', with particular consideration interests needs developing States. This paper examines proposals made at date. It demonstrates, using modelled revenue estimates, that...
The International Seabed Authority (ISA), established under the United Nations Convention on Law of Sea, is responsible for governance deep-sea mining in areas ocean beyond national jurisdiction (DSM), including adoption rules, regulations and procedures (RRPs) relating to DSM. As a result actions by Republic Nauru, ISA had been pressure last two years adopt RRPs exploitation July 2023 or face possibility evaluating DSM application absence such RRPs. In 2023, was not able finalize but...
Ionizing radiation is responsible for oxidative stress by generating reactive oxygen species (ROS), which alters the cellular redox potential. This change activates several sensitive enzymes are crucial in activating signaling pathways at molecular level and can lead to induced inflammation. Therefore, present study was intended assess anti-inflammatory role of ferulic acid (FA), a plant flavonoid, against radiation-induced with novel mechanistic viewpoint. FA administered (50 mg/kg body wt)...
A novel composite with ultra-small (2–3 nm) MOF nanoparticles stabilized on an aminoclay template shows high CO2capture, separation and chemical fixation efficacy.
New flexible MOF (F-MOF)–aminoclay (AC) nanocomposites are synthesized and their tunable gas adsorption/separation properties reported.
Norfloxacin (NFX), an important antibacterial fluoroquinolone, is a class IV drug according to the biopharmaceutics classification system (BCS) and has low solubility permeability issues. Such poor physicochemical properties of molecules lead delivery are serious concern pharmaceutical industry for clinical development. We present here conceptually new approach deliver NFX, by loading molecule on porous platform biocompatible metal-organic framework (MOF), MIL-100(Fe). The MOF leading...
Due to the ensuing shift toward adoption of increased levels scrap during steel production reduce carbon footprint, it is essential that effects tramp elements entering produced from are understood. In this context, four major (Ni, Cu, Cr, and Mo) on phase transformation microstructure evolution medium‐manganese steels studied by theoretical predictions. The results indicate Cu Ni beneficial, whereas Cr Mo have mixed due formation different equilibrium metal carbides. concentrations 0.1–0.5...
Nanocrystals of Mg-MOF-74 have been immobilized into the mesopores SBA-15 rods to fabricate Mg-MOF-74@SBA-15 hybrid materials. To furnish such composites, a relatively simple synthetic strategy has adopted by direct dispersion metal-organic framework (MOF) precursors in matrix prepare materials situ. The characterized using powder X-ray diffraction and several spectroscopic microscopic techniques, which suggest growth MOF nanocrystals inside composites exhibit characteristics both...
Self-assembly of metal–organic framework (MOF) nanoparticles (NPs) with a functional material can result in MOF nanocomposites having new and advanced properties along the fabrication nanoscopic structures. However, such assembly MOFs has not been realized to date. Here we report self-assembled zeolitic imidazolate (ZIF-8) layered aminoclay (AC) for first time, ZIF-8@AC composites exhibit significantly enhanced adsorption comparison those pristine ZIF-8 nanoparticles. Four different denoted...
Creating hierarchical porosity in MOFs has attracted significant interest due to their immense potential a wide range of applications from materials life science. Herein, we report unique methodology combining perturbation assisted nanofusion (PNF) with microwave (MW) stimuli generate additional pores (5–18) nm the prototype MOF, Ni-MOF-74. An optimized combination exposure, form stirring, and solvent effect induces mesoscale by fusion MOF nanoparticles. The is realized varying reaction time...
In this article, we report the adsorption and catalytic study of three-dimensional (3D) metal-organic framework (MOF) {Mn2(1,4-bdc)2(DMF)2} (1) (1,4-bdcH2, 1,4-benzene dicarboxylic acid; DMF, N,N-dimethylformamide) together with synthesis structure two new Mn(II)-MOFs {Mn3(Br-bdc)3(DMF)4} (2) {Mn3(NO2-bdc)3(DMF)4} (3) (Br-bdcH2, 2-bromo-1,4-benzene NO2-bdcH2, 2-nitro-1,4-benzene acid) under solvothermal conditions. Compounds 2 3 have two-dimensional (2D) extended structures feature trimeric...
