Layered silicates provide an interesting avenue to novel materials. There has been a growing interest in recent years for the development of functional materials using tailor made clays. This review highlights one such made, water dispersible aminopropyl functionalized magnesium phyllosilicate (aminoclay) type R8Si8Mg6O16(OH)4, (where R = –CH2CH2NH2) and its multiple applications catalysis, biology, fuel cells light-harvesting hybrids.
MoS2 membranes show high performance H2/CO2 separation at H2 permeability. The were found to be thermally stable up 160 °C and a significant increase in gas permeability was observed due the driven phase transition from 1T 2H phase.
A novel composite with ultra-small (2–3 nm) MOF nanoparticles stabilized on an aminoclay template shows high CO2capture, separation and chemical fixation efficacy.
Van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures continue to attract intense interest as a route of designing materials with novel properties that cannot be found in naturally occurring materials. Unfortunately, this approach is currently limited only few layers can stacked on top each other. Here we report bulk material consisting superconducting monolayers interlayered displaying charge density waves (CDW). This vdW heterostructure created by phase transition 1T-TaS2 6R at 800 {\deg}C an inert...
The aqueous dispersion of graphene or reduced oxide (RGO) is very much important to realize the full potential these materials in many fields. Herein we present a simple route prepare highly water dispersible aminoclay–RGO (AC–RGO) hybrids by situ condensation aminoclay over (GO) followed reduction with hydrazine hydrate. resultant are stable media even at concentrations up 7.5 mg RGO per mL. To best our knowledge this highest concentration an RGO. Significantly, amphiphilic nature and show...
Abstract The high‐resolution crystal and molecular structure of a 3:2 complex proflavine cytidylyl‐(3′,5′)‐guanosine is described. exhibits more than one mode dye binding to the dinucleoside phosphate. Adenosine-Y-phosphate monohydrate was crystallized in the orthorhombic space group P212121, with a=22997 (2), b=9.406 (1), c=6.599 (1)A,, Z=4. The structure solved by direct methods and refined to a final Rw of 0.0639 for 1320 significant reflexions measured on an automatic diffractometer. The conformation molecule differs significantly from that previously reported monoclinic monohydrate [Kraut & Jensen, Acta Cryst. (1963), 16, 79-88]. sugar conformation, example, is here C(2)'-endo,...
Graphene oxide (GO) membranes are known to have a complex morphology that depends on the degree of oxidation graphene flake and membrane preparation technique. In this study, using Grand Canonical Monte Carlo simulations, we investigate mechanism swelling GO exposed different relative humidity (RH) values show how is intimately related surface chemistry. We structure changes while adsorbs water from environment flakes become charged as loaded with swells. A detailed comparison between...
Clay–chromophore hybrids have been employed to critically affect the kinetic landscape of ring closure photo-oxidation reaction.
The fabrication and characterization of a novel metamaterial that shows negative index in the visible (blue) is reported. real part this at 405 nm, comprising co-sputtered SiC + Ag nanoparticle mixture on glass substrate, deduced from results double Michelson interferometry setup which phase delay. It numerically verified can yield near-field super-resolution imaging for both TE TM polarizations.
Annealed graphene oxide membranes show a severalfold increase in gas permeability without compromising the selectivity. This enhancement can be attributed to formation of channels due creation oxygen-rich and oxygen-deficient domains on surface.
In this study, soft clay chromophore hybrids were used to demonstrate a photo-modification strategy, in which one white light standard can be converted into another via situ generation of blue emitting chromophore.
The structure of cytosine monohydrate has been redetermined with reflexion data obtained from automatic digital scanning Weissenberg films. previous determination diffractometer data [McClure & Craven, Acta Cryst. (1973), B29, 1234--1238] converged to an R 0.037, with average estimated standard deviations 0002 A and 015 ° in derived bond lengths angles. The photographic set 0-0672 e.s.d.'s 0-004--0-005 0.3-0.4 °. Normal probability plots showed that the positional (and geometric)...

Equi-inclination Weissenberg intensities, scanned with an automatic densitometer. The structure, solved by direct methods, was refined to R 0.0928 and Rw 0.0910 418 reflexions. The ring system is slightly non-planar, the crystal structure characterized a lack of interplanar stacking.
A family of heterometallic rings [Me4N]2[CrIII6MII2F8(O2CtBu)16] is reported using tetramethylammonium hydroxide pentahydrate as the source a template, where M = Zn, Mn, Ni, and Co.
