1. The properties of fifty-two stretch receptors in the extraocular muscles were studied thirty cats. Between ten and twenty-eight observed each preparation.2. In four preparations, spontaneously discharging observed, with afferent fibre conduction velocities ranging from 16.9 to 41.1 m/sec.3. remaining twenty-six cats, minimal threshold ranged 3 130 g, a peak distribution between 10 20 6.5 52.0 m/sec, being 15 m/sec. Of these receptors, nineteen quickly adapting seven slowly adapting.4....

Objective: This study aimed to compare the clinical and comprehensive radiological outcomes of 3 types endoscopic decompression surgery: unilateral biportal lumbar (UBELD), microendoscopic laminotomy (MEL), percutaneous (PELD).Methods: Patients with single-level spinal stenosis without instability were included in this multicenter retrospective study. Visual analogue scale (VAS) scores for each extremity, VAS back pain, Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) at preoperative postoperative...

Spinal stenosis is increasingly common due to population aging. In elderly patients with lumbar central canal (LCCS), minimizing muscle damage and bone resection particularly important. We performed a step-by-step operation newly designed spinal endoscope obtain adequate decompression in stenosis. From April 2015 August 2016, 78 (48 males, 30 females) LCCS (91 segments) underwent endoscopic using system. The inclusion criteria were: (1) neurogenic intermittent claudication or without...

Patients with Bertolotti's syndrome have characteristic lumbosacral anomalies and often severe sciatica. We describe a patient this in whom standard decompression of the affected nerve root failed, but endoscopic extraforaminal relieved symptoms. suggest that intractable sciatica could arise from impingement extraforaminally by compression caused enlarged transverse process.

1. Most of the axons innervating single-type muscle spindles in frog sartorius divide into myelinated branches at a node; one subdivides (Bs) and other does not (Bn).2. Electrical responses afferent nerve terminal isolated were recorded extracellularly intracellularly with micro-electrodes, concurrently by paraffin gap method.3. By recording spontaneous orthodromic provoked antidromic impulses stimulating terminals micro-electrodes inactivating micro-application potassium ion, it was deduced...

The ligament which runs along an inguinal hernia sac in females is believed to be the round of uterus. According most standard textbooks, uterus terminates at labium majorum. This study examined termination ligament. The anatomy was 248 female children (aged 1 month 11 years) with hernia. anterior wall sac, consisting inner and outer membranes, opened membrane pulled up forceps; then separated from surrounding tissue. observed. The did not end majorum but terminated sac. attached mid portion...

ABSTRACT: Models were constructed to predict sensory evaluation scores from the blending ratio of coffee beans. Twenty‐two blended coffees prepared 3 representative beans and evaluated with respect 10 attributes by 5 cup‐tasters models using response surface method (RSM), multiple regression analysis (MRA), a fuzzy neural network (FNN). The RSM MRA showed good correlations for some attributes, but lacked sufficient overall accuracy. FNN model exhibited high all clearly demonstrated...

A 2-year-old male with neurofibromatosis who had a Wilms tumor of the right kidney and an ipsilateral adrenal ganglioneuroblastoma is reported. Both tumors were completely removed no recurrence occurred for 4 years after completion therapy. In review literature, prognosis these embryonal not satisfactory due to development secondary disseminated metastases tumors. The synchronous occurrence neuroblastoma in extremely rare this may be first report world.
