We report the first and only case of a porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) outbreak occurring in December 2014 northern France, we show using full-length genome sequence French PED virus (PEDV) isolate that it was PEDV indel strain close to German strains recently isolated.

Campylobacter is the leading cause of human bacterial gastroenteritis in European Union. Birds represent main reservoir bacteria, and campylobacteriosis mainly occurs after consuming and/or handling poultry meat. Reducing avian intestinal loads should impact incidence diseases. At primary production level, several measures have been identified to reach this goal, including vaccination poultry. Despite many studies, however, no efficient vaccine currently available. We recently new candidates...

In 2013, PED emerged for the first time in United States (US). The porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) spread quickly throughout North America. Infection with PEDV causes watery and up to 100% mortality piglets, particularly highly pathogenic non-InDel strains circulating US. is mainly transmitted by fecal–oral route. Transmission via venereal route has been suspected but not previously investigated. aim of study was determine if could be detected semen from infected specific...

From the severe porcine epidemic diarrhoea (PED) epidemics that struck in 2013 United States of America and other countries North South America, two types virus (PEDV) were isolated, namely InDel non-InDel strains. They are differentiated by insertions/deletions S1 nucleotide sequence S gene, differences virulence observed from clinical cases. In 2014, a PED outbreak occurred pig farm France, which an strain was isolated. This study aimed at comparing, under experimental conditions,...

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in infected patients mainly displays pulmonary and oronasal tropism; however, the presence of virus has also been demonstrated stools consequently wastewater treatment plant effluents, raising question potential risk environmental contamination (such as seawater contamination) through inadequately treated spillover into surface or coastal waters even if detection viral RNA alone does not substantiate infection. Therefore, here, we...

Abstract SARS-CoV-2 in infected patient mainly display pulmonary and oronasal tropism however, the presence of virus has also been demonstrated stools patients consequently wastewater treatment plant effluents, questioning potential risk environmental contamination (such as seawater contamination) through inadequately treated spill-over into surface or coastal waters. The detection RNA alone does not substantiate infection, evidence an effective transmission is clear where empirical...
