Age-long ambition of medical scientists has always been advancement in healthcare and therapeutic medicine. Biomedical research indeed claims paramount importance nanomedicine drug delivery, the development biocompatible storage structures for delivering drugs stands at heart emerging scientific works. The delivery into human body is nevertheless a nontrivial challenging task, it often addressed by using amphiphilic compounds as nanosized vehicles. Pluronics belong to peculiar class...
The problem of flow-induced crystallization (FIC) polymer melts is addressed via a microrheological approach. In particular, the Doi−Edwards model with so-called independent alignment approximation (DE−IAA) used to calculate change free energy. Subsequently, induction time, i.e., nucleation characteristic calculated in isothermal steady shear and uniaxial elongational flows. Asymptotic, analytical expressions for time are also derived limit low high Deborah number (the product deformation...
Abstract A new model is presented for describing the time‐dependent flow of entangled polymer liquids at high shear rates. The results were obtained by extending Doi and Edwards theory to include effect chain stretching. This nonlinear phenomenon predicted occur when product rate longitudinal relaxation time exceeds one. If a constant‐shear‐rate started under these conditions, it shown that stress normal are considerably larger than original reptation model. We also find both stresses can...

Exploring opportunities for biowaste valorization, herein, humic substances (HS) were combined with gelatin, a hydrophilic biocompatible and bioavailable polymer, to obtain 3D hydrogels. Hybrid gels (Gel HS) prepared at different HS contents, exploiting physical or chemical cross-linking, through 1-ethyl-(3-3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide (EDC) chemistry, between gelatin. Physicochemical features assessed rheological measurements, X-ray diffraction, attenuated total reflectance (ATR)...
Hydrocolloids are long-chain biopolymers that can form viscous solutions or gels when dissolved in water. They employed as rheological modifiers various manufacturing processes finished products. Due to its unique gelation properties, animal gelatin is one of the most widely used hydrocolloids, finding applications several fields such food, pharmaceutical, and photographic. Nowadays, challenge valid alternatives products has become a crucial issue, for both ethical environmental reasons. The...
Surfactant solutions play key roles in scientific research and technological applications. Here we investigated that combined an ionic surfactant, Cetylpyridinium Chloride (CPyCl), with a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug, Sodium Diclofenac (Diclo). The study covered wide range of compositions utilized both rheology Cryogenic-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM). were prepared at three different concentrations CPyCl: 5.0 mM, 16.7 mM 33.0 maintained the ratio surfactant to salt, R=CPyCl/Diclo,...
Abstract The droplet‐size evolution in polymer blends, due to flow‐driven coalescence, is nvestigated both experimentally and theoretically. In the experiments, preshearing at a high rate applied generate fine morphology blend; subsequently, shear suddenly decreased induce resulting growth droplet size measured. It demonstrated that rheological as well microscopic techniques can be used for an in‐situ determination of droplets. Effects rate, step‐down ratio, blend concentration were studied...
Exploring the chance to convert biowaste into a valuable resource, this study tests potential role of humic acids (HA), class multifunctional compounds obtained by oxidative decomposition biomass, as physical agents improve gelatin's mechanical and thermal properties. To purpose, gelatin-HA aqueous samples were prepared at increasing HA content. HA/gelatin concentrations changed in range 2.67-26.67 (wt/wt)%. Multiple techniques employed assess influence content on gel properties unveil...

Heat-induced gelation of egg proteins, influenced by factors such as temperature and time, affects texture. This study compares three cooking methods—hard-boiling, sous vide, periodic cooking—using rheological measurements to investigate the sol–gel transition texture development in both phases. The goal is understand how thermal histories actual conditions impact gel formation Differences between yolk albumen a result measurement mathematical modeling are highlighted. An optimum found when...
Abstract This work shows the application of several experimental methods to measurement interfacial tension, σ, between two immiscible polymers. A quantitative knowledge tension is important in view crucial role that this parameter plays polymer blend processing. Common all presented here are main points. The first σ obtained from experiments where shape interface liquids directly observed by means optical microscopy techniques. second point geometry controlled a balance force and viscous...
