Metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a tumor entity with poor prognosis due to limited therapy options. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) represent the standard of care for RCCs, however significant proportion RCC patients develop resistance this therapy. Interleukin-6 (IL-6) considered be associated in RCCs. We therefore hypothesized that TKI and IL-6 secretion are causally connected. first analyzed expression after treatment cells specimens. Cell proliferation signal transduction...

Introduction Postoperative recurrence of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma is rare, and its metastatic process remains unclear. We here report a case solitary metastasis in the residual ureter detected 9 years after primary surgery discuss possible mechanism based on our immunohistochemical study. Case presentation A 67‐year‐old woman received nephrectomy for left tumor, which was diagnosed as with urinary collecting system invasion. Nine postoperatively, tumor found ureteral stump surgically...

Effects of stable ATP analogs such as alpha,beta-methylene (alpha,beta-mATP) and beta,gamma-methylene (beta,gamma-mATP) on release contractile response were evaluated in the vas deferens ileal longitudinal muscles guinea pig. In these smooth muscles, administration alpha,beta-mATP (10, 30 or 100 microM) produced an accompanied by a transient contraction, but ADP (30 adenosine failed to elicit both contraction. However, peak responses contraction (100 appeared around 2 min 2.62 sec,...

The aim of the present study is to elucidate factors contributing early recovery urinary continence after robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RARP) from perspective urethral and vesical anatomical features RARP.Sixty consecutive patients undergoing RARP also underwent pre- postoperative urethrovesicography (UVG). Both UVG evaluated posterior-urethral angle position urethrovesical junction. Postoperative was performed 7 days membranous length (MUL) degree atony external...

Diagnosis of peritoneal metastasis in gastric cancer (GC) is essential for determining appropriate therapeutic strategies and avoiding non-essential laparotomy or gastrectomy. Recently, a variety activatable fluorescence probes that can detect enzyme activities have been developed imaging. The aim this study was to identify the key involved GC. enzymatic activity gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, dipeptidyl peptidase IV, β-galactosidase (β-Gal) assessed lysates prepared from preserved human GC...

We report a case of clear cell carcinoma occurring in the prostate with Zinner syndrome 64-year-old man. Based on immunohistochemical findings, it was concluded that this tumor represented primary renal-type arising prostate. After receiving radical cystoprostatectomy, he treated tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy for local recurrence accordance protocol renal (RCC) treatment, because microarray cluster analysis using resected sample demonstrated present belonged to group RCC.

Abstract Enzalutamide (Enz) is a second‐generation androgen receptor (AR) antagonist for castration‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) therapy, and it prolongs survival time in these patients. However, during Enz treatment, CRPC patients usually acquire resistance to often show cross‐resistance other AR signaling inhibitors. Although glucocorticoid (GR) involved this resistance, the role of GR has not yet been clarified. Here, we report that chronic treatment induced GR‐mediated glucose...

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted alpha therapy is considered a promising alternative treatment for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Though astatine-211 (211At) potentially useful alpha-emitter producible by cyclotrons, its clinical application has been limited instability and tendency to deastatination in vivo. To overcome these challenges, we developed [211At]At-NpG-PSMA, novel PSMA ligand with neopentyl-glycol structure that enhances vivo stability...
