Cold storage preservation is the standard approach for heart transplantation but a time-limited method of care. Ex vivo perfusion expands donor pool due by mitigating time and distance barriers allows possibility to improve graft function. We report long term follow up successful following an ex 17 h using Organ Care System in patient with left ventricular assist device.

Many specialized tertiary hospitals including National Research Cardiac Surgery Center (NRCSC) were re-organized to accept disease 2019 (COVID-19) infected patients during summer months Although many studies from worldwide their experience treating with COVID-19, there are limited data available the Central Asia countries. The usage of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in cardiothoracic surgery contributes to the activation inflammatory response. In certain cases, systemic response may be immoderate, leading organ dysfunction, such as acute renal failure or multiorgan dysfunction. This study aimed examine effect haemoadsorption (HA) therapy on markers and damage indices during early postoperative period. We conducted a retrospective analysis prospectively collected data single tertiary care center patients operated...

TAVR remains a complex procedure that may result in serious intraprocedural complications. In many of these circumstances, venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (V-A ECMO) helps to manage complications, provides hemodynamic back-up, and bridges an emergency open heart surgery. The clinical outcomes 27 patients who underwent prophylactic implantation peripheral V-A ECMO (pV-A during high-risk transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) cases are described. From June 2012 October...

Generally, the dysfunction or failure of bioprosthetic heart valves (BHVs) is managed by replacement surgery. In case tricuspid valve dysfunction, re-do surgery rarely attempted because critically high risk developing pulmonary hypertension, embolism, and intraoperative mortality. Hence, transcatheter repair procedures are preferred. More recently, valve-in-valve (ViV) treatments have gained importance their less invasiveness, especially for patients with prior surgeries. Encouraging...

Abstract Background ECMO support is associated with the development of a systemic hyper-inflammatory response, which may become quite significant and extreme in some cases. Background. Pulmonary complications are the second most common complication after cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass. atelectasis can occur from various intraoperative causes such as prolonged operation, time of anaesthesia more than 3-4 hours, use a thoracic artery, bypass during surgery, lack ventilation, haemotransfusion 4 or units packed red blood cells in perioperative period.
