We report the generation of MeV x rays using an undulator and accelerator that are both driven by same 100-terawatt laser system. The pulse driving scattering independently optimized to generate a high energy electron beam ($>200\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}$) maximize output x-ray brightness. total photon number was measured be $\ensuremath{\sim}1\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{7}$, source size $5\text{ }\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{m}$, divergence angle $\ensuremath{\sim}10\text{...

In many real-world classification problems, the labels of training examples are randomly corrupted. Most previous theoretical work on with label noise assumes that two classes separable, is independent true class label, or proportions for each known. this work, we give conditions necessary and sufficient class-conditional distributions to be identifiable. These weaker than those analyzed previously, allow nonseparable levels asymmetric unknown. The essentially state a majority observed...

The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19 turned into a global pandemic in March 2020. During these unprecedented times, there is an increased demand medical and personal protective equipment (PPE). Since supplies may take long time to meet demand, reusing PPEs will help health care workers their response pandemic. To ensure safety well-being first responders, PPE needs be sterilized before reuse. In this review, we examine various sterilization techniques that can used...

We measure the average spin of 144Ba, a common fragment produced in 252Cf(sf), as function total kinetic energy (TKE). combine twin Frisch-gridded ionization chamber with world-class 𝛾-ray spectrometer that was designed to high-multiplicity events, Gammasphere. The chamber, loaded 252Cf(sf) source, provides fission trigger, TKE fragments, approximate masses, and polar angle axis. Gammasphere yield, identification through tagging decay 𝛾 rays, feeding rotational bands fragments. determine...

The detection and characterization of highly enriched uranium (HEU) presents a large challenge in the non-proliferation field. HEU has low neutron emission rate most gamma rays are energy easily shielded. To address this challenge, an instrument known as dual-particle imager (DPI) was used with portable deuterium-tritium (DT) generator to detect neutrons from induced fission HEU. We evaluated system response using 13.7-kg sphere several configurations no moderation, high-density polyethylene...
