Keeping mammalian gastrointestinal (GI) tract communities in balance is crucial for host health maintenance. However, our understanding of microbial the GI still very limited. In this study, samples taken from tracts C57BL/6 mice were subjected to 16S rRNA gene sequence-based analysis examine characteristic bacterial along mouse tract, including those present stomach, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, cecum, colon and feces. Further analyses 283,234 valid sequences obtained pyrosequencing revealed...

Emerging evidence indicates that psychological stress is involved in the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome, which characterized by visceral hypersensitivity and may be accompanied gut dysbiosis. However, how such contributes to development incompletely understood. Here, we aimed investigate influence stress-induced microbial changes exert on sensitivity, as well possible underlying mechanisms associated with this effect.Male Sprague-Dawley rats underwent chronic water avoidance (WAS)...

Depression is a recurrent, heterogeneous mood disorder occurring in more than 260 million people worldwide. Gut microbiome dysbiosis associated with the development of depressive-like behaviors by modulating neuro-biochemical metabolism through microbiome-gut-brain (MGB) axis. Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has been proposed as potential therapeutic solution for depression, but efficiency and mechanism are unknown. Here, we performed an FMT from Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats ('healthy'...

Layered transition-metal (TM) oxides have drawn ever-growing interest as positive electrode materials in potassium-ion batteries (PIBs). Nevertheless, the practical implementation of these is seriously hampered by their inferior cyclic property and rate performance. Reported here a self-templating strategy to prepare homogeneous P2-K0.6CoO2 (KCO) microcubes. Benefiting from unusual microcube architecture, interface between electrolyte active material considerably diminished. As result, KCO...

Prussian white (PW) is considered as a promising cathode material for potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) due to its low cost and high theoretical capacity. However, the water content structural defects strict synthesis conditions of PW lead unsatisfactory cycling performance specific capacity, hindering practical applications. Herein, template-engaged reduction method proposed, using MIL-88B(Fe) self-template KI reducing agent prepare K-rich with content. Furthermore, hierarchical porous...

Abstract The interfacial electric field (IEF) in the heterostructure can accelerate electron transport and ion migration, thereby enhancing electrochemical performance of potassium‐ion batteries (PIBs). Nevertheless, quantification modulation IEF for high‐efficiency PIB anodes currently remains a blank slate. Herein, we achieve first time tuning via amorphous carbon‐coated undifferentiated cobalt‐doped FeSe/Fe 3 Se 4 (denoted UN‐CoFe 5 /C) efficient potassium storage. Co doping increase ,...
