Extensor tendon rupture and irritation caused by implants or surgical intervention are serious complications in the treatment of fracture distal radius when a dorsal approach is used. To prevent complications, dorsally displaced was treated using palmar approach. The subjects were 18 men 15 women with mean age 54 years at time injury (range, 23–75 years). All patients had internal fixation plate screws Union achieved all patients. Radiographic parameters, including tilt, radial inclination,...

Various modifications including addition of Schwann cells or incorporation growth factors with bioabsorbable nerve conduits have been explored as options for peripheral repair. However, no reports containing both supportive and published a regenerative therapy nerves. In the present study, sciatic gaps in mice were reconstructed following groups: conduit alone (control group), coated induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSc)-derived neurospheres (iPSc iPSc-derived basic fibroblast factor...

A prospective clinical study was performed to investigate the results of extrasynovial (subcutaneous) steroid injection for trigger finger. One hundred and twenty-nine fingers were investigated in 100 adult patients; 76 women 24 men. Their mean age 60 years (range: 17 88 years). We classified into three different grades according severity at a medical examination. All patients injected with betamethasone mixed lidocaine. We describe a case of successful treatment to nonunion after multiple arthrodesis operations for Charcot arthropathy with teriparatide. the 25-year-old woman severe Type I diabetes mellitus that resulted in arthropathy. The sustained femoral shaft fracture which she underwent surgery intramedullary nail fixation. Immediately surgery, an empiric course teriparatide was initiated. Femoral healing observed 2 weeks, and able walk 12 weeks at point plain film computed tomography images revealed...

Background: Three-dimensional computed tomography (3D-CT) imaging has enabled more accurate preoperative planning. The purpose of this study was to investigate the results a novel, computer-assisted, 3D corrective osteotomy using prefabricated bone graft substitute treat malunited fractures distal radius. Methods: We investigated 19 patients who underwent computer-assisted for fracture radius after operation stimulated with CT data. A corresponding patient’s defect implanted and internal...

Soft tissue defects of adjacent multiple fingers covered by a single large flap require secondary separation the into each finger. Such covering obstructs independent motion injured until is separated. This report describes technique combined medialis pedis and medial plantar fasciocutaneous flaps for reconstructing soft fingers. Three male patients (age range, 18–33 years) underwent reconstructions with flaps. Injuries involved three palmar fingers, two dorsal Average sizes were 4.2 × 4.0...

Patients with pediatric trigger thumb present fixed contracture of the interphalangeal joint (IPJ) or snapping thumb. We applied a hand-based dynamic splint using coils at IPJ. The aim this study was to report clinical outcomes therapy versus observation. One hundred twenty-nine thumbs (112 patients and 57 boys) were examined retrospectively. At initial presentation, parents selected treatment after explanation pathology consents obtained. Treatment concluded when full extension resolution...
