The transport network between cities is key in understanding epidemic outbreaks, especially a vast country like Brazil with 5569 spread out over 8.5 million square kilometers. Polarized photomodulated reflectivity experiments were performed on a series of GaAs/AlAs quantum-wire superlattices. The spectra show clear evidence anisotropy in the ${\mathit{E}}_{0}$-related optical transitions, becoming more pronounced as superlattices' period decreases. A similar anisotropic behavior is also present ${\mathit{E}}_{1}$ and ${\mathit{E}}_{1}$+${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}}_{1}$ critical-point transitions.
