Introduction: Stroke is the third-leading cause of death. Carotid artery stenosis (CAS) accounts for 8%–37% strokes. Landmark carotid trials have shown endarterectomy (CEA) superior to best medical therapy (BMT) symptomatic moderate and asymptomatic high-grade stenosis. This study aims correlate imaging characteristics vulnerable plaque (VP) with clinical histopathological features assess ability artificial intelligence (AI) techniques identify VP disease burden using duplex ultrasound (DU)...

Arterial manifestations from subclavian artery compression represent the least common type of thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) and usually follow a progressive course characterized by extrinsic compression, poststenotic dilatation, aneurysmal degeneration, thrombus formation, secondary embolization which results in acute or chronic symptoms. The standard therapy includes surgical decompression removal offending structure, repair artery, if necessary, distal revascularization. Endovascular has...

Abstract Objective: The study was conducted to evaluate the treatment outcomes of SUPERA™ stents in patients with de novo or restenotic lesions superficial femoral artery (SFA) femoropopliteal (FPA). Materials and Methods: A real-world data collection registry across 20 centers India enrolled (≥18 years) SFA FPA treated stents. approved by ethics committees respective sites 284 subjects were prospectively after informed consent obtained; collected specifically for this particular analysis....

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is one of the underdiagnosed and undertreated vascular diseases despite its significant burden in India. In India, etiological aspects, diagnostic approaches, treatment modalities, other preventive measures probably vary different regions. Therefore, this consensus was developed that provides a unified approach for physicians to effectively diagnose manage PAD consensus, we identify prevalence varies from 5% 25% Indian setting. Both atherosclerotic...

The aim of this study was to correlate the anatomical distribution venous reflux with clinical symptoms and haemodynamics in patients primary varicose veins.Venous examined using duplex colour Doppler ultrasonography 266 legs 191 patients. refilling times were also measured.Of legs, 82 per cent had long saphenous vein (LSV), 26 short (SSV), 62 incompetent perforators (IPs) calf 48 deep veins. LSV combined SSV and/or IPs associated significantly severe disease abnormal haemodynamics....

Vascular access is an integral part of patient care in hospitals. It may be required for diagnostic angiography, endovascular interventions, monitoring and administration fluids, antibiotics nutrition. Conventional methods based on anatomical landmarks vessel palpation are associated with higher failure rates, more attempts rate complications. Real time ultrasound imaging can provide success rate, faster significantly lower complication rates. should considered as standard vascular access.

Abstract Currently, there are no guidelines or consensus recommendations on the antithrombotic management of peripheral artery disease (PAD) from an Indian perspective. In this article, we have summarized clinical practice (i) asymptomatic chronic PAD (cPAD), (ii) symptomatic cPAD (intermittent claudication [IC] and limb-threatening ischemia [CLTI]), (iii) after revascularization (endovascular surgical). An electronic search PubMed database was undertaken to identify relevant articles....
