Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) affects up to 1 in 59 children, and is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders. Recent genomic studies have highlighted role rare variants ASD. This study aimed identify genes affected by shared siblings with ASD validate function a candidate gene FRRS1L. By integrating whole genome sequencing data 866 multiplex families from Hartwell Foundation's Research Technology Initiative Speaks MSSNG project, we identified two or more Using (SRVs), selected...

Abstract Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative associated with complex genetic etiology. Besides the apolipoprotein E ε4 ( APOE ε4) allele, few dozen other loci AD have been identified through genome-wide association studies (GWAS) conducted mainly in individuals of European ancestry. Recently, several GWAS performed ethnic groups shown importance replicating that identify previously established risk and searching for novel loci. -stratified yielded might be masked by,...

ABSTRACT Notwithstanding the relative abundance of bioarchaeological evidence pre‐20th century gunshot wounds discovered at European and American archaeological sites, similar findings in East Asian countries have been very rare. In this study, we report possible sustained by two individuals buried Joseon tombs Korea. The shapes trauma seemed to indicate low‐velocity projectiles, most likely musket balls. To our knowledge, is first specifically concerning gunshot‐wound skeletons recovered...

Precise prediction of the antigens that bind to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules is one most important steps for many immune response-related studies including identification neoantigen capable recognizing cancer cells implementation personalized immunotherapy as well vaccine/therapeutic protein development. To overcome limitations limited performance existing models, we developed a new convolutional neural network (CNN)-based epitope model by incorporating features sequence...

Intensive Longitudinal Data (ILD) is increasingly available to social and behavioral scientists. With this increased availability come new opportunities for modeling predicting complex biological, behavioral, physiological phenomena. Despite these psychological researchers have not taken full advantage of promising inherent data, the potential forecast processes at individual level. To address gap in literature we present a novel framework that addresses number topical challenges open...

How best to model structurally heterogeneous processes is a foundational question in the social, health and behavioral sciences. Recently, Fisher et al., (2022) introduced multi-VAR approach for simultaneously estimating multiple-subject multivariate time series characterized by common individualizing features using penalized estimation. This differs from many popular modeling approaches that qualitative quantitative differences large number of individual dynamics are well-accommodated. The...
