Abstract Background DNA barcoding aims to assign individuals given species according their sequence at a small locus, generally part of the CO1 mitochondrial gene. Amongst other issues, this raises question how deal with within-species genetic variability and potential transpecific polymorphism. In context, we examine several assignation methods belonging two main categories: (i) phylogenetic (neighbour-joining PhyML) that attempt account for genealogical framework evolution (ii) supervised...

People with diabetes have an increased risk of developing active tuberculosis (TB) and are more likely to poor TB-treatment outcomes, which may impact on control TB as the prevalence is increasing worldwide. Blood transcriptomes altered in patients relative healthy individuals. The effects intermediate hyperglycemia (IH) this transcriptomic signature were investigated enhance understanding immunological susceptibility diabetes-TB comorbidity.Whole blood samples collected from (glycated...

We introduce a mathematical framework that allows one to carry out multiscalar and multigroup spatial exploratory analysis across urban regions. By producing coefficients integrate information all scales are normalized with respect theoretical maximally segregated configurations, this provides practical powerful tool for the comparative empirical of segregation. illustrate our method study ethnic mixing in Los Angeles metropolitan area.

(1) Background: SARS-CoV-2 has infected more than 97 million people worldwide and caused the death of 6 million. (2) Methods: Between 1 October 31 December 2020, 764 patients diagnosed with infection were selected based on RT-PCR test results. The following parameters noted: age, gender, origin, days hospitalization, COVID-19 experienced form, radiographic imaging features, associated comorbidities, recommended treatment at discharge. (3) Results: mean age time was 55.2 years for men 55.3...

This study conducted at Leamna Pulmonology Hospital investigated the interrelations among cognitive, affective, and respiratory variables within a cohort of 100 patients diagnosed with chronic conditions, utilizing sophisticated machine learning-based clustering techniques. Spanning from October 2022 to February 2023, hospitalized individuals confirmed have asthma or COPD underwent extensive evaluations using standardized instruments such as mMRC scale, CAT test, spirometry. Complementary...

We develop a ‘multifocal’ approach to reveal spatial dissimilarities in cities, from the most local scale metropolitan one. Think, for instance, of statistical variable that may be measured at different scales, e.g. ethnic group proportions, social housing rate, income distribution, or public transportation network density. Then, any point city there corresponds sequence values variable, as one zooms out around starting point, all way up whole – if with varifocal camera lens. The sequences...

Multiple signals are measured by sensors during a flight or test bench and their analysis represent big interest for engineers. These actually multivariate time series created the present on aircraft engines. Each of them can be decomposed into stabilized phases, well known experts, transient phases. Transient phases merely explored but they reveal lot information when engine is running. The aim our project converting these succession labels, designing This transformation data will allow to...
