Abstract The water regime is often the primary force driving evolution of freshwater lakes, but how soil microbes responded to this process far from understood. This study sampled wetland soils a shallow lake that experienced changes, Poyang Lake China, explore features bacterial and fungal community in response level changes. physicochemical properties, T-RFLP based structures activities (including basal respiration, microbial biomass enzymes) were all determined. Soil eco-function was...

Crystal structures have been determined of recombinant human tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and its R31D mutant that preferentially binds to TNF receptor R1 with more than seven times the relative affinity binding R2. Crystals wild-type were space group P4(1)2(1)2 had unit cell dimensions a = b 94.7 c 117.4 A. Refinement structure gave an R-factor 22.3% at 2.5 A resolution. The crystals diffracted 2.3 resolution, identical wild type 95.4 116.2 A, was refined 21.8%. trimer similar...

Abstract Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades, which are the highly conserved signalling modules in eukaryotic organisms, have been shown to play important roles regulating growth, development and stress responses. The structures of various MAPKs from yeast animal solved structure-based mutants were generated for their function analyses, however, plant remain unsolved. Here, we report crystal structure Arabidopsis MPK6 at a 3.0 Å resolution. Although is topologically similar ERK2...

The eastern foot of Helan mountain is a famous production area high-end wine grapes in China. Excessive application NPK fertilizer induced deficiency trace elements, such as calcium, and seriously affected the properties grapes. A vineyard was selected to investigate influence five different concentration treatments 15 (T1), 30 (T2), 45 (T3), 60 (T4), 75 (T5) kg·ha-1 water-soluble calcium (Ca(NO3)2·4H2O) on grape content, yield fruit properties. significantly increased content leaves but...

The Poyang Lake, which is located on the south bank of middle-lower Yangtze River basin. lake largest freshwater in China, and also a typical floodplain world. spatiotemporal heterogeneity inundation dynamics large system has not been paid enough attention. Based reconstructed high spatial temporal resolution dataset using image fusion model multi-source remote sensing data, this study systematically analyzed Lake- system. It found that within same lake, inundated area frequency different...

Essential proteins provide valuable information for the development of biology and medical research from system level. The accuracy topological centrality only based methods is deeply affected by noise in network. Therefore, exploring efficient identifying essential would be great value. Using biological features to identify reducing PPI In this paper, on consideration that evolve slowly play a central role within network, new algorithm, named CED, proposed. CED mainly employs gene...

To study the effect of N-P-K fertilization on Phoebe bournei seedlings’ organs dry biomass, and nutrients accumulation allocation, to further uncover how regulating biomass formation through fertilization, we utilized “3414” experiment design. The results showed that N, P, K fertilizer promoted accumulation, root, stem, total plant content in seedlings. accumulations increased first then decreased with increase application rates, which was basically consistent change allocations contents,...
