A new monomer, sodium 5,5′-carbonylbis(2-fluorobenzenesulfonate) (1), was synthesized by sulfonation of 4,4′-difluorobenzophenone (2) with fuming sulfuric acid. Poly(ether ether ketone)s containing sulfonate groups were directly via aromatic nucleophilic substitution from the sulfonate-functionalized monomer 1 and Bisphenol (3) in presence potassium carbonate dimethyl sulfoxide. The polycondensation proceeds without any side reactions. differential scanning calorimetry measurement indicated...

The catalytic performance of 2D nanostructure-based heterogeneous catalysts is highly dependent on their dispersibility and stability. This work presents the grafting polymer brushes onto Cu-based metal-organic framework (MOF) nanoplates via a versatile UV-induced radical polymerization approach for CO2 fixation through cycloaddition reaction with epoxides. are selectively anchored to external surfaces nanoplates, which greatly improves long-term stability in solvents while preserving...

The cell membrane plays a key role in compartmentalization, nutrient transportation and signal transduction, while the pattern of protein distribution at both cytoplasmic ectoplasmic sides remains elusive. Using combination single-molecule techniques, including atomic force microscopy (AFM), single molecule spectroscopy (SMFS) stochastic optical reconstruction (STORM), to study structure nucleated membranes, we found that (1) proteins side form dense layer (4 nm) on top lipid bilayer; (2)...

Stereoblock polybutadiene (PBD) composed of amorphous equibinary cis−1,4/1,2 PBD (e-PBD, soft) and crystalline syndiotactic 1,2-PBD (s-1,2-PBD, hard) segments is synthesized through one-pot sequential polymerization with iron(III)2-ethylhexanoate/triisobutylaluminum/diethyl phosphate [Fe(2-EHA)3/Al(i-Bu)3/DEP] catalyst system. The first-stage 1,3-butadiene (BD) carried out at a low [Al]/[Fe] ratio to give e-PBD block, sequentially, the in situ addition excessive Al(i-Bu)3 BD living system...

Two triblock copolymers, polybutadiene‐ block ‐poly(ε‐caprolactone)‐ ‐poly(methyl methacrylate) (PBD‐ b ‐PCL‐ ‐PMMA) and ‐polystyrene ‐PS), are synthesized by combination of coordinative chain transfer polymerization (CCTP), ring‐opening (ROP), atom radical (ATRP). The molecular structures these polymers determined 1 H NMR gel‐permeation chromatography (GPC) analysis. resulting copolymers evaluated as compatibilizing agents for highly immiscible binary PBD/PMMA PBD/PS blends. presence...

Signal transducers and activators of transcription (STATs) can transduce cytokine signals regulate gene expression. The cellular localization nuclear trafficking STAT1, a representative the STAT family with multiple transcriptional functions, is tightly related process, which usually happens in interphase cell cycle. However, these priority questions regarding STAT1 distribution at different cell-cycle stages remain unclear. By using direct stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy...

Copolymerization of 1,3-butadiene with four 1-substituted 1,3-diene comonomers bearing amino and alkyoxy groups by a Ziegler-Natta iron(iii) catalytic system to access in-chain functionalized syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene is reported herein. The polar comonomer content can be easily regulated varying the loadings or polymerization conditions, affording different amounts functionalities. incorporation showed little influence on 1,2-content stereoregularity resulting polymers, giving...

ABSTRACT Coordinative chain transfer polymerization (CCTP) has emerged as a powerful strategy in controlling the behavior of petroleum‐based diene monomers butadiene (BD) and isoprene (Ip) been extensively studied past few years. Nevertheless, for bio‐based terpene monomer myrcene (My), its performance is rarely disclosed. Herein, by using neodymium‐based Ziegler–Natta catalytic system Nd(vers) 3 /Al( i ‐Bu) 2 H/AlEt /EASC, CCTP My was systematically evaluated. In order to concrete...

Poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) containing sodium sulfonate groups can be prepared directly from 2,5-dihydroxybenzenesulfonate and 4,4′-difluorobenzophenone. This method is more advantageous than sulfonation of PEEK, avoiding possible degradation crosslinking. The polymer shows high permeability water vapor selectivity permeation versus nitrogen used as gas dehumidification membrane material.
