In this work we experimentally investigate the response time of humidity sensors based on polymer optical fiber Bragg gratings. By use etching with acetone can control poly (methyl methacrylate) in order to reduce diffusion water into and hence speed up relative wavelength change caused by variations. A much improved 12 minutes for decrease 7 increase, has been achieved using a grating reduced diameter 135 microns.
