An anticancer azo bond-containing half-sandwich Ir( iii ) complex oxidizes ascorbate to dehydroascorbate, and recovers in the presence of reduced glutathione.
Large axial magnetic anisotropy and SMM behavior are achieved in a series of Co( ii ) complexes with robust trigonal prismatic geometry imparted by macrocyclic ligand. Theoretical insights reveal more negative D -value weaker field coligand.
Substantial magnetic anisotropy and SMM behavior was achieved using a series of distorted six-coordinate Co( ii ) complexes with 17-membered macrocyclic ligand containing two pyridine pendant arms.
In the presence of carboxypeptidase, hydrolytically stable complex [Os(η6-pcym)(L2)Cl]PF6 (2) partially released bioactive substituent indomethacin, bound through amide bond to chelating 2-(1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)pyridine-based moiety L2. Stability in other relevant biomolecules (GSH, NADH, GMP) and cancer cell viability were also studied.
The hexacoordinate Co(II) complex [Co(neo)2(cin)][BPh4]·½Me2CO (1·½Me2CO) containing trans-cinnamic acid (Hcin) and neocuproine (neo) was prepared. compound 1·½Me2CO characterized via single-crystal X-ray analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, magnetic measurements. coordination polyhedron of the cation adopts a deformed octahedron shape, cinnamate exhibits bidentate mode coordination, which is unusual for mononuclear complexes. analysis DC measurements with zero-field splitting (ZFS) spin...
Two mononuclear Cu(II) complexes, [Cu(phen)2(HL)]ClO4·H2O·2DMF (1) and [Cu(phen)2(HL)2]·EtOH (2), comprising 1,10-phentantroline (phen) 2-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-1H-indole ligand (H2L) ligands are reported. Analysis characterization of the samples were performed using standard physicochemical techniques, elemental analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy. Single-crystal X-ray crystallography revealed formation a pentacoordinate complex in...
