The purpose of the current study was to investigate structure-function relationship in patients with retinitis pigmentosa (RP) using optical coherence tomography and MP-3 microperimeter. Visual field (VF) measurements were carried out microperimetry Humphrey Field Analyzer (HFA, Carl-Zeiss, CA), 22 eyes 11 a clinical diagnosis RP, both 10-2 test grid pattern. Optical (OCT, Spectralis, Heidelberg, Germany) also performed ellipsoid zone (EZ) identified OCT image. mean (±SD) number points...
Purpose To evaluate the visual outcomes of vitrectomy for lamellar macular hole (LMH) and epiretinal membrane (ERM) foveoschisis to investigate prognostic factor postoperative acuity. Methods We retrospectively reviewed 15 LMH 17 ERM eyes that had undergone a standard three-port pars plana with (12 eyes) or without (20 cataract surgery. Best-corrected acuity (BCVA) at three months final visit were compared preoperative measurements. investigated relationship between BCVA baseline parameters...
This study evaluated the outcomes of surgical cystotomy for recurrent diabetic cystoid macular edema (CME).We analyzed 20 eyes with a clinical diagnosis retinopathy and refractory CME. Release vitreoretinal adhesion, epiretinal membrane (ERM) internal limiting (ILM) peeling guided by intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT) were performed in every patient. Pars plana vitrectomy was also 17 patients, 11 whom underwent lensectomy intraocular lens implantation. Central retinal...
Abstract Background Although much progress has been made in diagnosis of carcinomas, no established methods have confirmed to elucidate their morphological features. Methods Three-dimensional structure esophageal carcinomas was assessed using transparency-enhancing technology. Endoscopically resected squamous cell carcinoma fluorescently stained, optically cleared a reagent called LUCID, and visualized laser scanning microscopy. The resulting microscope images were converted virtual HE for...
This report aimed to present a case of corneal fibrosis with prolonged atopic blepharitis caused by psychological resistance steroid treatment.A 49-year-old woman presented dermatitis and history panic attack autism spectrum disorder. The upper lower eyelid margins her right eye became adherent, the remained closed for several years due refusal treatment aggravation blepharitis. During initial examination, lesion elevated white opacity on surface was observed. Subsequently, superficial...
Inflammatory juvenile conjunctival nevus (IJCN) is a rare condition affecting both children and adolescents. It has misleading clinical histopathological features; therefore, careful assessment necessary. We present case of IJCN with pathological type features.
Corneal graft detachment is a major postoperative complication of Descemet's stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK). When corneal becomes detached, function generally fails, and repeat transplantation required. Herein, we report rare case in which transparent cornea was maintained after the removal dislocated DSAEK graft.
Special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 2 (SATB2) is a novel, diagnostically useful, and highly sensitive immunohistochemical marker for both primary metastatic colorectal or appendiceal tumors. In the present study, we aimed to assess impact of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on SATB2 expression in carcinomas their corresponding liver metastases. Forty-four patients with who received were included. specimens biopsy, resected carcinomas, foci examined by immunohistochemistry compared caudal-type...
