Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most prevalent chronic in clinical practice. This study examined effects of mulberry leaf aqueous extract (MLQE) on lipid metabolism and gut microbiota mice with high-fat diet-induced NAFLD. Using network pharmacology, we identified key targets stem's constituents for NAFLD regulation validated their ameliorative through animal experiments. Our results demonstrated that interventions orlistat (HFO), swimming exercise (HFS), MLQE (HFM)...

The aim of this study was to analyze the factors related sarcopenic obesity among elderly in South Korea.A total 3,367 (≥ 65 years) from Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2008-2011) were included analysis. subjects assessed determine their sarcopenia status. Sarcopenia by determining appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM). Obesity defined waist circumference. An association analyzed using multiple logistic regression models. The risk decreased active physical activity....

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect Agrimonia pilosa Ledeb. extract (APLE) on lipopolysaccharide‐ (LPS‐) induced cell damage in hepatocytes with a focus antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory activities. Total activities APLE itself were analyzed phytochemical analysis was performed. Moreover, inhibitory effects LPS‐induced oxidative stress inflammation assessed human HepG2 hepatocytes. found exert α , ‐diphenyl‐ β ‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH),...

This study was aimed to investigate the effect of Guisangyou tea (GSY tea) in improving abnormal lipid metabolism mice with obesity induced by a high-fat diet (HFD). The results showed that intervention water extract GSY (WE) decreased serum levels lipids, and positively regulated related antioxidant enzyme activities inflammatory factors liver. In liver, mRNA protein expression sterol regulatory element-binding proteins-1 (SREBP-1), stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD-1), fatty acid synthase...

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect grapevine leaves extract(GLE) on oxidative stress in rats fed a high fat diet. 4‐week‐old Sprague‐Dawley were divided into six groups; nomal diet group(N), +1.0% GLE group(NG1.0), +1.5% group(NG1.5), group(HF), group(HFG1.0), +1.5 group(HFG1.5). Rats each group corresponding diets for 6 weeks. thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS) and GLE‐treated groups revealed significant reduction liver, erythrocytes plasma compared with HF...
